One thing that is weird is that everyone that meets all 5 paps seems to think that Mia is the smallest. I can't count how many times people ask about the 'little one' or 'tiny one' and they mean Mia! If we're going by weight from biggest to smallest it's Beau, Summer, Mia, Rose, Bernard. Mia is over 2 lbs larger than Nard! I think it's because Mia's head is so tiny. It makes her look smaller than the others. :rofl1:

I think he's about average for a collie, maybe a hair small for a male. I remember when I picked up Logan, he was about the size I expected him to be. Then we visited a bunch of other collies and I was thinking "Holy cow they're all so tiny!" lol. Logan's bigger than his parents. Logan's at the top end of the standard, but not over. One of the collies I dogsat is HUGE, around 28" tall and almost 90 pounds (but a bit fat) :yikes:
Yeah, I guess he isn't that small, but his dad was 70lbs and much bigger seeming than Jasper. And it seems like every time I meet a Collie they are just way bigger than him, especially the males! Jasper seems more female-sized. And he is pretty skinny too, he just has never really filled out much and he doesn't really like eating.

Henry is almost 20 inches tall but only weighs 32-33 pounds. He's very lean. People always say that he seems smaller in person, and I think that's because he's quite dainty.

In my lap (I'm 5'3)

This must be a collie thing. I just got Logan up to a weight where I can't feel/see his hip bones poking out anymore, and now he decided he doesn't like food anymore :wall: The collies I dogsat all seemed to not care for food much (except treats, of course lol), even though they were a bit pudgy.

Ivan is about 21 to 22 inches at the shoulder and 51 (at last weight in). He is definitely on the smaller side.
Peewee is about about 23 1/2- 24 1/2 inches and about 65 to 70 pounds. Hes fat and I can't get the weight off of him.

Just measured Quinn - she is 22 inches (and a quarter, maybe). Last time I measured her she was right under 21 inches so this surprised me!

I think her ideal weight is 43-44 pounds. She was steady at 40 up until quite recently, then we put her on a scale at the vets and surprise, she was 44 with the same body shape and condition. She's got good bone and I guess just had a little (very late!) filling out to do!

I'm not sure how others see her but she seems smaller to me. She doesn't seem that tall and can curl up and cuddle in a lap quite easily <3 The girls at work always say how lean and petite she is.

ust took measurements

Artimis: 14'' tall, 14'' long, 14lbs...... :rofl1: My dog is super square lol I think he get's it from the boston terrier ^_^

Talon: 19'' Tall, 20'' long, 24lbs. My anorexic boy, though I'm glad to say he's gaining weight! ^_^ I'd like him to be just under 30lbs I think

Wow, I had no idea Bandit was that big! He looks like he'd be so much fun to cuddle with!

Rory is small... 19" tall, 35lbs, and he has a 14" neck. Here's my comparison picture- I'm 5'2":

I'm not sure if he looks bigger or smaller in photos alone.

I can't even remember how tall the chihuahuas are. I've replied to a thread in here before with all of their heights, and I'm not sure where it is!

I can give weights.

Rylie:4lbs
Chloe: 7lbs
Tucker: 5.5lbs
Emma: 3.5lbs
God Rory is so pretty! I always thought he was a bit bigger than he is. Talon is 19'' too as of today, and I always imagine Rory being a good 5'' taller! :p

Tess is 15 1/2" and 32 pounds, Pirate is 16" and 38 pounds. (wicketed for agility, weighed on vet's scales). That puts them right where they should be for the breed. People usually find them smaller than expected when they meet them, but I think that's because photos for some reason tend to make them look leggier than they are. And I'm really short.

I forgot to add in my original post: People are always shocked at how little Dance is. I think Tollers just get that reaction anyway from those who aren't around them, but usually the first words I hear out of anyone's mouth who have only seen pictures of her is how small she is. Keira, too. She's not actually that little compared to other Dobes I know, but she is a bit smaller and I jokingly call her my pocket Doberman. People love how tiny and compact she is and are always surprised.

Nobody's ever commented on Ripley's size. Just that he looks very manly in person haha.

I think people would be surprised at Journey's small size. She looks huge in her pictures to me, but she's barely noticeably bigger than Dance. She's one of those dogs that somehow looks big and little at once.

Pug photos to illustrate size. She often looks bigger than she is.
She is the teeniest, tiniest and cutest Pug in the world! I was expecting small, but was still a bit surprised. She's so petite and little.

I think people tend to put Tollers into the Golden/Lab group.

Speaking of, ran into a guy with a Toller at my dog park. Got to hear her do the Toller scream! Reminded me way too much of Didgie.

And Journey does look big in pictures! But I always think of Aussies as bigger than they are, I think it's the same as Shelties. The floof throws me off.

Male dobes DO look manly in person! I was pretty impressed when I got to meet Rocket. He's huge and powerful and very masculine compared to Kaylee.

Plus people confuse SBTs with Am Staffs, or think they are bigger than they are. I knew they are smaller than Am Staffs, but realize how "small" they really are until my friend got one.

Buster is about 21" and 37 pounds. He was always about 46 pounds when he was younger (with never being more than a couple of pounds overweight) but as he's got older and more arthritic he's just seemed to drop the weight it muscle.
I think he looks about right in photos.

Quinn is my teeny weeny Border Collie, 18.5" at the shoulder and 30-32 pounds. I think she looks bigger in photos and the few people that have met her after only seeing photos of her have commeneted on being surprised how small she is.

I keep this crappy photo of her because its one of the few that shows her at what I think looks like her actual size. Her proportions are weird but her height looks right.

Speaking of little SBT's. This is Quinn at 12 months old with my Auntie's staffy, Daphne.
Makes Quinn look like a gigantor. Weird because before this I always thought of Daphne as a much taller dog.

Bamm is about 22" and about 45#. He looks a little chunky in some pics, but he is mostly fluff. When you wet him down he looks great so I think 45# is near perfect for him.

Older pic but he looks about the same

Cricket tends to be a lot smaller than people imagined when they meet her. She is roughly 19" or so and 33# with a slim and trim little figure. A lot of people are surprised at how small she is when they meet her for the first time.

Standing next to Bamm

Joey is either bigger than people expect or smaller than people expect when they meet him. I tend to get both reactions. He is 26.5" at the shoulders and currently about 42# though I'm still trying to put a little more on him.

Here he is lying down next to Jackson
