((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))

:(
Thanks so much for the hugs, nolu. <3<3<3

I know it's stupid and immature, but I still just keep thinking it's so ****ing unfair. Why did she have to die at only 6? I was supposed to have her for yet another 6 years and maybe longer. And why, why, why in such a horrible way? I can still hear her last cries of fear and pain and it haunts me.

Sorry. Bigger vent than I meant.

Will she sit still for a warm damp wash cloth? That might soften the crusties enough to make it hurt less.
She would except it happens in the middle of the night so she wakes up, can't open her eyes... Freaks out a little and then tries to open them with her fingers because she's freaked out.

If it was during the day I coild talk her down as i would be right there with her but she panicks a little when she wakes up that way and it takes me a moment to get to her :(

I can't understand people that come in bawling about "needing" to euthanize their pet, but they don't want to try anything to fix the problem...

This guy had an appointment today to euthanize his 6 year old cat. He was not a client, his first time coming to us. We require an exam before euthanizing a pet we've never seen (unless it's an obvious decision, like a 15 year old lab that can't walk or something). We do NOT perform "convenience" euthanasias, ie, if your pet is not sick, we're not killing it. Apparently he was BAWLING when he was brought in the exam room, like totally seemed really upset about his cat. But the reason he wanted to euthanize his cat... is because he was pooping outside the litter box...

Sooo vet does an exam. Medically there is nothing wrong, this just appears to be a behavior problem. Vet asks owner if he's done options X, Y, or Z. Owner says no I don't want to do that. Vet tells him okaayyy.. well we're not euthanizing him... Owner comes back with "well I'm not taking him home."

So the cat was turned over to the clinic and now lives with us in the meantime.

My mind really just can't even comprehend why you jump to killing your pet instead of trying SOMETHING. grumble.

It would be easier to not have boobs.
bras are annoying. and expensive.
Agreed. And boobs change as you get older. Well big boobs do... And I have a G cup so expect them to be by my toes when I'm 60.

I sometimes think about chopping them off! Medically, not myself lol

I'm right here with you, but I'm in an I cup...do you know how hard it is to even FIND a place that carries I cup?
What a self centred size!!!

Geddit, geddit lol

I can sometimes find G cups (yay) but they never have them in my back size (because apparently if you have boobs over a D cup you must be 6 foot wide. I'm not skinny thin, I'm pretty average/curvy and wear a 34 back! Oh no, no no. Not allowed. They are always 36+).

And I HATE that you only ever have one or two styles to choose from our of hundred of styles. And that I have to literally SEARCH... And everyone around is picking up any bra they like, popping it in their basket smiling, and I have to try all the ones I find on in my size, and even then not all will fit properly even though they are all meant to be the same **** size!!!!

So I literally might buy one bra every year, if that!

And if you want a decent bra you have to pay about £40+. Seriously?! It's less material than you use in pair of knickers and two bits of wire!!!!!!!!!!

Ooooooooooh fran look what you have started.

Using my fingers to count to get the answer to my random question.....

You guys make me happy to be in the itty bitty committee :rofl1:

Yesterday a child threw a chair at me, it hit my ankle and it was instant bruise. The director handled it, wrote it up for the parent. Then the parent comes in and signs the write up, and flips out on me like it was my fault her child threw a chair  i tried to explain to her that the burst of anger was so unexpected I didn't even have a chance to move out of the way. And also the child was having behavior issues with the morning teacher before I even came in (and I go in at 8!)
I wake up this morning. My ankle is really swollen and very painful, I have an unavoidable limp.

So my vent is a very broad vent. Seems like a lot of parents right now are not setting guidelines for their children, and allow them to behave in ways that have always been socially unacceptable . And when there are consequences, helicopter parents swoop in and prevent any lessons from being learned. This is resulting in children behaving in extreme ways that are dangerous. Last week we got an e-mail from the local school distract that a former child of ours has been suspended at school for a really serious accusation - something a 6 year would should NOT even think to do to another child. One can understand how children grow up and do things like we've been seeing on the news lately.... We can refer families for help (counseling and such), but no one can force the parents to follow through with it. It's sad, and scary. What is this world coming to?

And this is one of the reasons I am planning to teach high school+. I hate having to deal with 'perfect children' parents. Even in high school it happens but its a bit easier to avoid there. Hope your ankle gets better soon.

Ugh I know exactly what you mean. We are pretty lucky with our current preschool group that the parents are pretty hood with knowing kids are kids and they will misbehave and need to be disciplined from time to time but I jave definitely seen a lot of what you describe with parents having "perfect child syndrome".

It was kind of funn at one of our homeschool co ops I taight the pre K/K phys ed class. One little boy was quite difficult, didn't listen, had no self control, etc and I would regularly have to make him sit out for a few moments until he could follow directions. Well, I got a random email from his mom and she started off with "he told me that he sometimes doesn't listen and you have been giving him time outs" and I thought oh boy... Here it comes but then she went on and was like " THANK YOU, i know he can be difficult to handle at times and you discipline him whenever you feel necessary. Every little bit helps so keep doing what you are doig". LOL I was flabbergasted. I was really expecting the opposite reaction

For anyone wondering, daycare/school for dogs is...exactly the same. LOL. Bad owners who puppy can't do any wrong, great owners who just want you to communicate with them, etc.

But you can't put kids in crates. :D

I call this scenario "You gotta help me! I've tried nothing and I'm fresh out of ideas!"

FWIW, I think most of the time these people do really love their pets in their own way, and are sad, but... I also don't understand how some people see really fixable problems as totally unsurmountable.

There are so many similarities between dogs and kids. Did you know they make "diaper bags" that come in the SAME type of dispenser as doggie poop bags?? I almost died laughing in the middle of Target when I saw them.
