Whiskey just had another vet appointment. The vet said he looks and sounds so much better, but they just want to check him periodically because the downside is his heart murmor is worse. They don't think its anything to worry about just yet and it may never be, but to be safe they want to check him periodically. He still had occasional episodes where his stomach area starts to convulse so they said if that starts to happen more frequently or for longer bouts of time to bring him in asap. But the good news is they definitely think he may have dodged a bullet and he looks much better (aside from the murmor)

Well. Apparently I just volunteered to demo for the disc dog club at the pet expo today with Zinga. Why? I have no clue. We don't have sequences, we don't have a routine, we have poorly strung together tricks and not very many at that. Good thing she jumps high and is flashy, hopefully nobody will look past that and at our lack of prep for this.

This is in the good news thread because even though I'm having a minor freak out, yay for Zinga's first public demo and yay for dock diving today!! Just wish I brought Zuma along with instead. :)

Omigosh, this made me laugh. :rofl1:

Oh, and my good news: If/when the time comes that Gracie and Cooper can no longer live with us, my Grandma is thinking about taking them both. Her 14 year old Schnauzer passed away awhile ago, and she really misses that companionship. She was interested in just Gracie at first, but after speaking with my mom and my aunt, she may take both. I think they will be perfect for her.
I'm hoping that this summer, if Mike has enlisted and we know when basic will be, they can go stay with her on a trial basis. That way I can help her work out any kinks and if it doesn't work, I'll still be able to take them back with plenty of time to find other arrangements for them.

I hope it works out, as that would make me feel so much more comfortable. They'll still be in the family, I know without a doubt they will be well taken care of, and Grandma would get some much needed companionship with the knowledge that if anything were to ever happen, we would take them back in a heartbeat.

I got the job at the animal shelter!!! I start on Tuesday.

Now to buy jeans and new shoes for work... I think I'm a little too excited about being able to wear jeans at work than I should be lol.

Congrats! I highly recommend buying used/cheap jeans for work - they will get beat to h*ll pretty quickly working at a shelter.

Unlike all of my friends and peers, I am pretty positive about what I'm doing after high school. I'm going to take my undergraduate degree in psychology at a university within NB, and then I will likely work towards a Ph.D somewhere in Ontario. I'm not too sure what my specialty will be, but I'm leaning either towards a clinical psychologist or a criminal psychologist which I think would be so interesting... however, I think I'd only find it interesting if I was studying more "high profile" cases so to speak and I'd likely have to work my way up to that over the course of a few years at the very least.

I so would if I'd ever find any that fit. I regularly check out the Goodwills around here and never have any luck.. stupid size and body shape. But I'm officially going to start tomorrow, need to be in better shape for this job than all my previous ones combined. :lol-sign:

Found an awesome and hilarious new show... And am going to stay up late to watch it, even though I have to get up at 6:00 to get dogs outside, breakfast, and a little playtime before I head to work to give dogs bathes and generally run around like a mad woman!

Yesterday/last night was a pretty awesome girl night. Good food, clothes shopping, went to Sallys and Sephora. Got our faces done by an Urban Decay rep(sadly sloppy, but still fun). Came home and played with hair, watched 2012.

BIL bought me a new PS3 since Jin took ours. They also set me up with a desktop and small TV. We have plans to find a house + yard or bigger apartment or townhouse this fall.

And Jin left town yesterday.
