So it appears the house next to the neighbour behind me is a rental... and the nice little family that lived there when I bought the house has moved out, and two white trash girls have moved it. I had the dogs in the big yard because I was putting all the garbage from building my kitchen cabinets in the garage and heard Auggie's "mean" barking, look out the back, and Auggie and Payton are at the back fence and this little black dog is snarling trying to fence fight with them. I call the dogs, Pepper is the only one who comes. Call the boys again, nothing. So I open my gate and walk all the way across my yard to pick up Auggie, get Payton's attention, and walk both dogs back up to the potty yard so they'll stop messing with this nasty black spaniel mix looking thing trying to fight with them (it snarled and lunged at me when I got to the fence too.)

Did I mention the entire time this is happening these two white trash girls are standing on their back porch just watching? And that their yard is less than 1/4th the size of mine so it would have been MUCH faster for THEM to take about TEN STEPS to get their dog?

The thing snarled and growled the entire time I walked back to the potty yard and I was IN the potty yard before I even heard them trying to call their dog.

Seriously?
Gross.

You and me both. Where I live we have to walk through the grass to get into my house. It's either raining or snowing half the time so the ground is always muddy. I'm always trudging through mud and two of my dogs have white paws which sucks because the mud stains their paws.

I HATE weekend kennels at the clinic HATE IT. I really, really want to be taken out of the rotation, but I don't know if that's possible without fully quitting. It takes up so much time just in driving, I get paid next to nothing for giving up my weekend, and it makes me SO ANGRY every time I work weekend kennels. Although it takes up all weekend, I only get 4 hours of pay for it, if I'm lucky, which is $36 once a month. If I was able to get out of the rotation, I'd be getting TWO days off a month instead of just one.

Also, if I find one more uncapped needle, I may just explode with rage. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Just because my dog is a border collie doesn't mean he is born knowing everything >_< erg! I'm sick of "oh what great focus he has, I wish my dog was a border collie" or "he's seriously the best puppy here, man it must be nice having such an easy dog. ya know, cause he's a border collie" ... >_<

Not only do I get it out in public, but also in puppy class! yes, my dog was the best one there, honestly that's not me being cocky, it's was the truth. Three other students plus the instructors assistant agrees. He knew all of the obedience stuff before we got to the class! That's NOT because of his breed, it's because of the work we've done with him! >_< If you looked at my little boston terrier mix you'd see the same thing from him in his class. He was the most well behaved and trained dog there. Again, multiple trainers that watched the class, plus other students commented on him. It's not his breed, it's his training! Period! Neither dog is "easy." Talon would be a destructive crazed maniac if we didn't work with him. Art is just a ball of nerves. They are well behaved and have great focus and very polite because we WORK WITH THEM! >_<

Ok, done.

I went to bed early (11ish) last night because I was exhausted and I wanted to watch Doctor Who. I let the dogs out right before bed, like I always do, and made sure Logan stayed out for a while in case he needed to poop. I didn't fall asleep until around 3:00 because I'm watching Doctor Who, lost an hour to time change, and later realized I took freaking Excedrin before bed, so caffeine, and I'm out of melatonin. Around 3:30 Logan wakes me up because he needs to go out. I take him out front on a flexi since my parents' dog was blocking the way to the back yard, and he pees like 2466533 times, and after 10 minutes we go back in. Around 4:45, he wakes me up AGAIN. I take him out front AGAIN, and he pees 3457 times, then sits in front of me on the porch. JUST GO POO YOU STUPID DOG! So I say screw it, put him in his crate and go back to bed. No more whining, so I figure he was just being a brat. I get up at 7am to go walk dogs/clean kennels at work. I get back around 8:30 and Logan freaking POOPED IN HIS CRATE. :wall: :wall: At least it was a solid poop and not diarrhea, and he avoided smearing it all over the place, but YOU HAD PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITY TO POOP, DOG! :wall:
I would be pulling the bedding out of that crate, once the dog knows better & still does it they don't get anymore leniency when it comes to that.

Then again I have always been blessed with clean dogs I guess lol since I have never had a dog willing to soil their crate.

Unless they are ill, then that is understandable ... But if they are just being butts then if they make them bed they lie in it.

He doesn't have bedding in his crate. I'm not sure I understand how the two are related. At all. o_0 Are you implying I ought to make him lay in his crate with his own ****? No, thanks, I'd rather not have to bathe my dog when I already have too much to do.

Also, it's not lik he pooped in his crate on purpose. He apparently couldn't hold it until I got back from doing kennels. It's the ONLY time it's ever happened and not been diarrhea. He doesn't typically sleep in his crate, I only put him there so he wouldn't wake me up again.

It's 10pm. It *should* feel like 9pm, since we lost an hour. But it feels like midnight. All I want to do is watch Doctor Who and go to bed. But I have a test tomorrow (and the next day and the next day and the next day) and should be studying, considering all I can remember about birds is that chickens are galliformes, kiwis lay enormous eggs, and there's really no difference between a heron and an egret.

I may go to bed and watch Doctor Who anyway, and deal with studying in the morning, since the test isn't until 2pm. But argh. WHY DOES IT SEEM SO LATE?

I'm overly tired as well, which is weird because I woke up "old time" because its Sunday and I never set my alarm! Not sure why it feels like its later when it should feel earlier!

Drove 17 hours. Finally got to hotel. Hotel sucks. Well, it is nice, but it is 1am and I've already had 3 issues. I'm going to kill someone.

This week is going to SUCK! One of my co-workers, and a dear friend had her gallbladder out last week, so she's off work, she's going to try to come in for the 13th, well see how it goes. Then two of the others left on their planned vacation. Leaving 3 of us to cover 3 shifts for 10 days. And I was supposed to go the the Great Big Sea concert in Regina! Don't know of we can go yet because we don't know if she can handle coming back to work yet. This is my second job, so I am working 13 hour days for the next week...boo.

I'm not one for correcting other peoples' dogs, but you might look into picking up a can of Interostop. It's a nifty little product that is,essentially a pheromone type deal with lavender scent, combined with air in a can. I would not expect the actual pheromone to do much, but dogs..even angry ones..seem to really hate the hiss of the air. It's pretty loud, so works even from a bit of a distance. We keep a can on hand for some of those incessantly barking dogs at work and even the really angry ones seem to rethink things, and that's also from across the room. It might bring some much needed peace if they aren't going to control their dog, yet won't harm the dog in the least.

I'm not sure I want to do anything while they are just standing there watching like slack-jaws. I suppose it could be viewed as me trying to break up my OWN dogs though? I'm not very excited about this but if their dog is causing problems, their next door neighbour (the guy directly behind me) will call the cops or animal control on them... he calls the cops on just about anybody. =P

Today's vent - my friend apparently got gastroenteritis this weekend. My friend is also my co-worker's girlfriend. It's highly contagious. HE'S SITTING RIGHT THERE AHHHH. He thinks he has escaped catching it but he better not be bringing those germs around here! *flail flail*

Every time you 'flail' (or anyone does, I guess) I always picture it as Wacky Inflatable Tube Man flailing around. :D Random, but I felt that image needed to be shared. :lol-sign:

My vent is just... ugh. I really hate depending on other people. I thought I had everything set up and that it would all work out but of course it doesn't. It's probably for the best but I wish I had a friend who could be honest with me. I feel like she's scared to tell me what she really thinks/feels/plans. And that hurts. Plus I'm gonna be WAY more pissed when I find out she lied to me. If you can't do something, say you can't do it. Don't along with it and then flake out.

And my house is a mess. And I don't want to clean it since I've been working so much. Hopefully by the time I get back it will be a little cleaner. I'm an awful girlfriend :p

Went to bed embarrassingly early last night, then woke up like like 5 hours and later and kept drifting off and waking up. Totally miserable night. Despite being in bed for like 11 hours I feel like crap.

Also, last night, a next door neighbor we've always been on good terms with basically accused us of letting our dogs jump the fence and poop in her immaculate yard. I don't know what's been pooping her yard but our dogs are never, and I do mean NEVER, outside unattended. Even in the shittiest of weather we drag our assess out in the porch and supervise while they potty.

Anyway, she was like, "Well just be careful." She didn't like it that I replied, "We already are. I'm sorry but it's impossible that it was our dogs. Good luck getting things straightened out though. I'll let you know if we see anything."
