I have no words. I'm so so so so so sorry Jess.

Oh Jess . I know there is nothing I can say that will make it better, but I hope you know how much so many here (myself included) loved Rosey. I wish I could have met her . Run free Rosey.

Thanks guys. So much. It means a lot more than I know how to verbalize.

I'm home now. Went for lunch and otherwise avoided coming to a dogless house.

I left the house with my happy go lucky dog. The Rosey we all know and love. We gave her some hydromorphine, and it quickly became apparent how much pain she was in. We did an exam, and found a massive tumour from the base of her tail extending to her rectum. The size of a long orange basically. It was not there a month ago when she was at the vet. The vet, god bless him, wracked his brain to find a way to give her more time -- any more time. A couple months even. Heck, even get her through the weekend. I called my mom, who spoke to the vet and we decided to let her go.

When I took the photo, it was actually nothing out of the ordinary. I didn't expect in a million years I'd be leaving without her.

Very sorry, Jess. I love old dogs so much but it never gets any easier. She was such a lucky girl.

You're not crying alone, take whatever comfort in that there is. My heart is so broken for you.
