^ I want scenery like that to ride in lol!!!

we are so lucky that we have a great parks system here that keeps up equestrian trails. One is actually on property were I grew up. we just have problems with mud all the time here. Last year was great because of the drought but we paid with it in hay!

Wish you lived closer, mine need ridden more because we never have time!

Gah, I would so take you up on that too! You can never have too many riding buddies. Haha. When we move out west again, you will just have to come visit and we will go with some awesome scenery like that. :)

And lucky! We have a few local-ish parks, but most people don't really care for equines tearing up their bike trails around here.

Roy and I are pretty simple. We both like to work out and be active, play sports and games, and watch TV and movies. He's my best buddy and we try to find new stuff and hobbies to get into together. It's hard since we both work a lot, but we try to spend as much quality time together as possible.

By myself, I read a lot and do dog stuff.

Bumping this back up! Rick's waiting for his new RC car in the mail today, though I don't think he's going to be able to try it out right away, with this weather. Anyone have any new hobbies?

I feel like I don't have much time for hobbies but then I realize I spend too much time on the computer.

But, hobbies that I do on a regular basis:
-Gardening
-Geocaching
-Learning to play piano
-Reading
-Taping (even if that is more job related, I do it in my spare time)
-Board/card games. Especially scrabble.
-Working with Duke, obviously.
-Mountain climbing/hiking

I spend a lot of time outdoors with the dogs so they definitely take up a lot of my time. That will only increase 'cause I'm going to help out my friends with their puppy (stopping by their house 3x a week) I hope to start to learn spanish as well especially since my friend is fluent. It's always better to have someone to converse in a language with to help attain fluency. I'll probably take a course this summer before I start university.

I love to crochet and come up with my own patterns. I make crochet toys, blankets, clothes, hats, hair bands, flowers.... u name it...lol I also like to make ribbon hair bows, head bands, hair clips...etc. I pretty much like to do anything crafty. I also do a little photography every now and then (I'm just an amateur)

Hobbies are great to have!

Not a whole lot as there doesn't seem to be much time for hobbies, between working and regular chores and spending time with friends and family. My dogs basically are my hobby. But, as for specifics...

- I play Flyball now
- I do a lot of dog training/walking/hiking (which is kind of a necessity I suppose, but I consider it a hobby because I enjoy it so much)
- I Read
- I photograph things

Now that I more or less know how to drive, when I buy my own car, I want to do a lot more hiking and mini roadtrips (and big ones when there is time) because I love travelling and especially travelling with my dogs. So hopefully that can become another sort of hobby.

I bought DH a RC helicopter for Christmas and apparently created a monster. Since Christmas he has been flying his helicopter, researching RC helicopters, planning his next one, etc.

I have gotten very involved in the model horse hobby, have started live showing and have managed to show some of my horses to the model horse equivalent of titles.

Other than dogs, horses are pretty much my only other hobby LOL. My parents both grew up with horses, so I did too. I did hunters and showed Welsh Ponies as a kid, now we have cutting bred Quarter Horses. I LOVE working cows but there is very little in that way in this area, so for now we trail ride and school reining.

I would actually like to downsize in the horse area though, my mom and I are both getting a little burnt out. I would love to get down to 1-2 and enjoy them more!

I quite enjoy photography too, although I don't think I would enjoy it as much if I didn't have such lovely animal subjects :)

I'm hoping to try some new things this coming year, though! One thing I REALLY want to try is stand up paddleboarding! There are so many beautiful lakes in Ontario, it seems like such a nice way to explore them.

I am so jealous of those of you who have horses! Having horses one day is one of my biggest dreams. I used to help out on a cattle ranch. I earned my place helping out directly with the horses but I started out by mucking 8 hours a day, and that was wonderful just because I got to be near them!

Ooh, I just remembered one I'm surprised I forgot.
Well, I'm a Sims 2 addict, and I love making custom content for sims (clothes, tattoos, skintones, wallpaper, etc.) I can't mesh (make 3-D models of objects) yet, so mostly I just retexture things.

Urgh I wish I had the patience/stamina/attention span for hobbies.

I struggle to watch a whole film to conclusion a lot of the time, so sitting concentrating on an activity doesn't really gel with me.

I enjoy walking, and want to ramp it up a bit in 2014, and my plan is to start hill walking again... My only issue is I'm wary of going alone as I don't want to die, but I've yet to find a reliable walking companion who's willing to go when I want to go! My goal is to at least have walked the hill by me, plus snowdon, plus one in the lakes by the end of the year. Ideally I'd like to have done the 3 main peaks by the end of the year.... But we will see.

I start reading books and never ever finish them... I have about 7 half read ones dotted about. Just, no... Oh, I have started a small collection of vintage dog books...

I can be crafty/creative... But again, I get so bored... I've painted, and I do an ok job, but I don't find it relaxing, I find it frustrating!!

I like antiques fairs and shops. That's something I do with the boyfriend, and we will go into them when we see them :) we rarely buy stuff though! But we love walking round looking for art and furniture. And dog books, see above!

I like to cook :) when I get a day free I like to find a recipe and cook something.. Always savoury, rarely sweet, I'm not a baker and prefer savoury food!!! I like nice ingredients and cooking from scratch. I'm not a great cook, but I cook food I like, and I'm pleased when other people like it too.

Dogs. Duh. But even then I'm not obsessive, don't train every day, don't compete (aside from the odd show for Fred, but that's taken a back seat). Started agility lessons, and I'd love to make that more of a hobby, fingers crossed. They are my obsession though, as all my friends would tell you....

Errrr... Honestly, I work 5 days a week, I leave the house at 7.30am and get in at 6pm, and frankly i often don't want to do much of anything except chill out and mooch with my doglets :)
