I saw this yesterday too. Very cool indeed!! It's puts it in terms simply without taking anything away from it.

That clears everything up! Wow, I really enjoyed watching that. Kind of makes me want to go watch a trial. :)

I IDEA of IPO is so awesome to me, and I would love to live that. It seems like such a lifestyle, I feel like the people who are serious about it here, talk about it all the time and are training ALL THE TIME! And in such a tight knit community, I want that community! I love that, I want that.

Unfortunately for me, I have no interest in bitesport :p

But I loved the video. And it made me want to play even more!

HAHAHA.

So close, PW. A lot of clubs now are focused on all aspects. It could be possible to do tracking and obedience without protection.

Aaaaaaaah I've just worked out that ipo is almost the same as working trials here, but without the bite sport bit!

I'm going on a working trials course in June! I never knew that. It involves, tracking, obedience and 'agility'. Not regular agility, going over obstacles.

I liked that video! I liked his voice, and I liked how he made it sound almost impossible, but barely attainable, difficult but fun.

Also, the dog pictured at 5:40 looks like Kastle.

FG, do you know of any clubs on the west side of the state? I've seen some near Lansing.. but I can't really find anything around here. There may not be... but I figured I would ask.

It would be a WHILE out... but I MAY try and make an attempt at this with FutureACD. Just to see if it is possible.

Unfortunately not. I think there is a French Ring club somewhere around there but I am a SchH girl so I don't know where. Lansing would be your best bet. We drove 2.5 hours (one way) to Ann Arbor to train when we lived there...no joke.

Ugh! Dang it! Sometimes I really hate living in the middle of nowhere. Mainly because there isn't cool dog stuff.

It is possible to train IPO with any breed. Just takes a dedicated owner with realistic expectations. :)
Haha, thanks. I definitely don't expect much... However, I've seen ACD's do pretty well, so you never know!

This. Isn't there a Boston training with Red Chrome? :p
Yes. Her mouth is not big enough for the sleeve, but we are working on it. She is a pretty awesome little dog. My TD is also training a mutt and we've had Border Collies, ACDs, Pit Bulls and others. We encourage anyone with a dog who has the temperament for it to try it.
