Did anyone see that his new dog is a Malinois? Ugh.... Awful. I would link but I don't know how on this phone.

The fact that he is even allowed to own another dog at all is disgusting.

I am obviously bias and saddened by the breed choice but I am far more upset he has a dog at all and that people are actively supporting this.

Why is everyone upset? He' served his time for tax ****, nothing for animal abuse, so he's obviously "did his time"

He's rehabilitated, he even does speaking engagements for things like PETA. Obviously an animal lover.

and people change. He was just a product of his up bringing. How was he to really know that hooking dogs up to marine batteries and throwing them in to metal sided pools of water was wrong? It's not like a person doing that would even enjoy the act of killing underperforming dogs anyway.

People that have their dogs heads beaten into the ground for not fighting hard enough can obviously change and learn to love and respect the animals they formerly treated worse than bugs.

It's a good thing he could run fast and make a lot of people money, or he'd still be sitting in jail.

Ill paraphrase what Iv been saying all along:

There is something... very wrong... with his hardwiring. The ability to torture and murder another living being, not once, and not out of anger, but many times, in "cold blood"... well this is a scary thing. *I* am distressed when I step on my dogs TOE. I am SORRY. I feel BAD. I EMPATHIZE with their momentary pain that *I* caused and I dont enjoy it and try very hard not to do it again. The kind of brain that can cause another being pain for no reason, and then cause so much pain that the living, thinking, feeling being DIES, is not a healthy or sane brain.

Vick has not magically changed. His wiring has not magically changed. The kind of person that CAN hurt another being so much that they DIE, while they struggle for their own life, he is still that person. His brain is still capable of that behavior.

This is not a person that should have control over another beings life. Ever.

I was actually assuming that was a joke. Tell me it's a joke?

I am far more upset that he has a dog, period. But I saw something touting that his new dog was a 'military dog' and my first thought was 'oh God, it's a mal." It just adds a little bit more terribleness to everything.

RTH said it perfectly, imo. I don't understand people who defend him.

ETA: I'm assuming RTH's post is tongue in cheek.

I would let him own a pet fish, let alone a dog, let alone a Malinois. Honestly, I'm beyond disgusted that they let him near any living animal. Anyone who wants to abuse animals does not deserve any living thing. I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive Micheal Vick.

It is funny because if it was anyone else they'd still be rotting in jail.

Who wants to bet that he'll pack it up and ship it off to Milan's "training" facility to be "rehabbed" just for acting like a normal mal?

Is it wrong that my first thought was "maybe the Mal will at least come up the leash and defend itself"?
That was one of my first thoughts as well. Actually it started with "well, on the bright side..." Then I immediately felt disgusted at myself.

It's just gross. The whole thing. Gross.

Yeah... pretty much this.
Anyone who thinks this guy has changed, is rehabilitated, can show love and compassion for another being is either deluded, has an agenda, or both.
