My breeder just contacted me about a sort of surprise breeding with a superior dam, and my favorite sire. WHY DOES THE TIMING HAVE TO BE ALL WRONG?!

Plus you need a Bloo ;)
I do wish I could have that sweet girl!

Prepare!? What do you need to prepare for? You have two dogs already, what more could you do to prepare?
Cows. I need COWS.

At least two locations I can herd on. Plus, I wasn't prepared to potentially ship. I was going to drive out to pick said puppy up.

I'm a horrible enabler, but honestly if the major preparations are made - like, you have the time, money, and space for a puppy - the rest are details. I was in the "casually thinking of getting a 3rd dog" phase when Squash's litter happened, and bringing him home was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I'm in the "planning a third dog" phase. I mean, I've been on a waiting list with this breeder for about 10 months now. It was just a matter of timing, and me being patient waiting for the right dog mixture.

I wanted to have a good two or three cattle herds to be able to work off, and I've got one, possibly two, but I wanted it set in stone. Pretty much all I need for a new puppy, home wise, is a third crate and another Kong.

It's perfect timing in the sense of the second job I just picked up has more than welcomed me to bring a dog or two to work with me, and being in the dog industry now, I get a discount off training classes as well as ADDITIONAL awesome socialization through the daycare I'm working at.

So, it really COULD be done. And it wouldn't be difficult at all to make it happen. I'm just, it's spur of the moment.

I love her! If I was ever to get a jrt I'd want one like her or Siri.

This.

I'm a preparer in my head, but once I've made a decision I want something I jump in two feet first.

You'll have a few months to prepare!

Four. I would have four months. The in heat lady arrives tomorrow... So, if it took and everything went well... I don't know how long they would wait to ship the puppy.

Australian Cattle Dog out of a working breeder out west. I'm on a list for a puppy in 2014, but a closer breeding popped up with a dam out of her program, and my favorite sire. So, I'm considering it. What other details would you like? Lol
