She's holding two seminars in Chicago in April and I kinda want to go. Both seminars together are going to be a little over $500, not including travel and hotel expenses from Detroit (where I am).

The seminars are on her assessment tool (CARAT) and dog-dog interactions. I've not heard a whole lot about her, but I use some of her articles sometimes as educational handouts, and I enjoy reading her material.

Who likes her? Who dislikes her? Who has met her in person, and do you think it's worth the $$?

She had a seminar locally to me last year, I'm still kicking myself for not going.
Umm yeah I know several people who went to that one and loved it (sorry!). I've never been but everything I've heard about her seminars has been positive.

I've been to a couple of her seminars, though it's been some years. She's very nice and gives good seminars. Dog/dog interactions is something she's particularly good with.

I used a trainer that was a student of hers. The training did not work for me,but there was nothing objectionable about it. Just didn't resonate with me. I think any seminar of hers would be worthwhile, but I would not go at that price point.

My friend went to her seminar a couple of weekends ago and she enjoyed it. My friend volunteered her dog to be evaluated by Suzanne during the seminar and she was overall not terribly impressed with the evaluation, but she still has lot of respect for Suzanne. Apparently she talks a lot about relationship-building and not so much on training (my friend - an avid clicker trainer - was turned-off when Suzanne lightly criticized her for clicker training her dog).

Personally I'd read her book before going to the seminar (which I haven't done yet), and even then it does sound a little pricey.
