Aw, feel better Dakotah :(

I haven't done anything at all since Tuesday, this Shark Week is from hell. Should be just about over, then back on track. Bleeeh.

Feeling well enough this morning so I figured I'd crank out a 20 minute Turbo Jam workout while I still felt up to it. Definitely had some kind of cold this weekend because once my heart rate went up and my breathing was faster I could feel a bunch of gunk in there. But... I got it done :)

Today I had gym class with the Pre-K/K group which always gets me sweating lol When I got home I did my 40 minute Turbo Sculpt with weights this time (only 2 lbs each but still... that's 4 lbs I wasn't using before)

And for the ladies (sorry to any guys here lol) Do you find that working out during your monthlies helps?

Last night my poor uterus was hurting so badly and I was going to bag off of fit club but decided to go anyway and by the time I was done all my discomfort there was gone :) it was back this morning lol but after my turbo sculpt it seems to be gone again. Man if this is the case I'm going to be working out from morning to night one week every month :rofl1:

Thank you. Still not 100%. Feel a lot better than the other day but not good enough to run.
Runny nose + day 2 of shark week + massive headache due to sinus pressure and hormones = a no go for running.
Tried to run this morning since I *thought* I felt better. Well I almost passed out at the end of my driveway. No go.

Not me. The most I can do is stretching. When I was on the bc pill I could run like a cheetah on crack when it was my time of the month. But since I've been off the pill since October, yea stretching is my limit (especially for the first 2-3 days).

I don't have periods anymore (la la depo provera la la) but working out with cramps did not help my cramps... and since my cramps came coupled with extreme nausea and vomiting... yeah. I tried it on multiple occasions but it never helped. I HAVE heard it's supposed to help, but no go for me! Glad it worked out for you though, that's easy enough if you can just remember that and get motivated next time LOL.

Oh yeah, I don't get cramps usually. More like aching, like someone punched me in the uterus... Like it's bruised. Then that makes it so I can't "go" lol which just makes it worse.

I haven't been checking in this thread like I should *hides*

I just started Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and it is kicking my ass, lol.

I had been walking a lot more, but lately the wind has just been unbearable. So I have been doing 30-40 mins of treadmill at the gym after work a few days a week.

I'm feeling good though... I haven't been consistent since Jan. 1st, and I went through like 2 weeks of eating a bunch of junk again, but I'm back on it... I think this Jillain Michaels DVD will be good for me. I really like being told what to do. I'm not good at just... doing things myself. If I could afford a personal trainer, I would, so alas, this will have to do!

I've suddenly gotten really motivated again this week. Ya know, starting in Jan, I was basically just doing small stuff... ditching soda, still eating some bad things, but just watching my portions. No hardcore exercise going on. But now, it's almost the end of Feb, and I just really need to start feeling good about myself. So besides the Jillian Michaels DVD, I also started watching episodes of I Used to Be Fat and that super-motivates me. So I'm checking out the diet plans and exercise plans from the trainer Joey on that show. http://www.shop.edjge.com/Diet-Plans_c2.htm because again, I'm too bad at trying to come up with healthy things and good exercises by myself, I need to be told what to do, written on paper, lol...

I feel like such a failure, I haven't done anything in like two weeks. Working out makes me super uncomfortable. I feel fine when it's done, but I'm so so so very uncomfortable while I'm doing it. Dunno what to do about it :\

Like, at the gym? Because I'm the same way... I'm somewhat self conscious about it I guess, lol. It feels unnatural to me too since I've never been like a gym person. Luckily, we do have an elliptical at our house, and we have a bike and weights, so I don't HAVE to go to the gym -- I only do some days when I just wanna switch things up. But I always just keep my headphones in and watch a show or movie on Netflix while on the treadmill or whatever, and focus on that.

Both. All of the different exercises and stuff have super horrible memories for me and make me panic a tooon. Stuff like agility, swimming, and horseback riding I can do and do happily, but I'm not in a position where I'm able to currently.

Right now, treadmill, planks, push ups, crunches. Exercise in general reminds me of gym class, which reminds me of school, which is bad. School was bad. I hate thinking of school.

Have you tried any workout videos? It is still exercise but not generally anything like gym class at school. Like I do turbo jam which is super fun. Good music, punching, kicking, dancy and fun :). Chalean johnson is the instructor and her attitude is contagious.

It's the kind of thing where you can just sort of get lost in the tunes and the punching and kicking makes you feel powerful like a warrior lol

I haven't. I don't really have spare cash kicking around for something I might do for a few days and find that it has the same effect, y'know?
