I love her, but what breed is she?

Alright, so I usually don't post these "what breed am I" threads... but this dog is awesome and I REALLY WANT ONE. And I want to know what may be in her. She's a dog that I'm watching in my home on a regular basis as a side job.

She doesn't have ANY herding attributes that I have seen yet, which makes me wonder... Her eyes are always "whaling" even when she's calm and relaxed. Ears are typically button/semi prick, but she wasn't a fan of the camera and me leaving her.

She's about 30-40lbs (smaller than Recon) and a year old. Smooth coat.

I have no idea but she's adorable.

What it an Ozzy?

Isn't she?! I wish her owners didn't want her anymore.

Ozzy is another members dog, he's an aussie/JRT I believe.

I would definitely guess some BC from her body. I could also potentially see a sighthound type breed in the body. Her face doesn't look very herder-y at all. Terrier wouldn't surprise me, even some kind of staffy mixed with something lanky and thin. She doesn't look very Catahoula, but she does look like some catahoula mixes I've seen. And she had to get the merle somewhere!

I'm stumped. I'd probably tell people she was "a mix, probably border collie but not sure" if she was mine.

That was my first thought, too!

And yes, pretty sure Ozzy is Aussie/JRT

ETA: Though, I think Ozzy is even smaller than that!

Could she be a border jack? The purposeful bred JRTs and border collies for performance? Maybe a flunky since she isn't very drivey?

I can definitely see some terrier in that face.

I say Ozzy and Zuma had a love child.

He's about 30-ish pounds, 19 inches tall. His mother was a purebred Aussie, daddy was a Jack Russell. He's 30 pounds of derp and jerk

Wow, she does look a surprising amount like him!

Looks like a border collie to me. Could be a mix or an aussie mix sure but if you told me 'This is my border collie' I would not have thought anything of it.

Kinda looks like my Dex! Typically guess for her is Aussie/BC, but all I know for sure is she is half Aussie. The other half is part mystery and part velociraptor.


I'd guess JRT/BC for your girl, she reminds me of this one:

My best guess is BC/JRT/Aussie! She's a cutie!

Oh, definitely Border Collie. Honestly, I'd say all BC, but maybe quite possible she's an Aussie/Jack or BC/Jack.

I just find it so strange that she has no terrier or herding temperament/behavior. Weird.
