I braved up and shot my 20 guage shotgun today. It was a present from my hubby and my first time shooting it. I need to get used to it because I want to go turkey hunting with Josh. I thought the kick was going to be way worse than it was and actually had a lot of fun shooting it. A little bruised from it now, but I can't wait to shoot it again. I've shot Josh's 30-30 lots of times and it didn't feel too much different kickback wise.

Pepper played with Payton... no wrestling but he had a toy and she was going after the toy, grabbing it and playing v-e-r-y gentle tug. It wasn't a long play session but it was about a minute. Previously she has grabbed toys he had in his mouth, then immediately dropped them rather than playing. But no, she actually played with him for at least a full minute.

Tears of joy.

Co-worker, on the phone with a customer having trouble getting his RAM installed: "When you say it doesn't fit, do you mean it's too big, too small... too long, too short?"

Me: *flailing around, silently* "THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID."

Hahaha my job.

This apparently is going to be the month of big changes. Bought a car...finally took my bf on his repeated asking me to move in with him...

The good news is that I'm not freaking out! I tend to have um, "mild" commitment issues and they're not really showing up.

My trainer just emailed me. I've been wanting to work for/with her for... 3 years now? She asked if I'd be interested in bartering classes for helping her with classes. :hail:

I'm excited, to say the least. For three years my dream (among many others!) has been to train dogs/people. Finally kind of happening, or at least getting there. XD

Tomorrow is going to be craaaazy... I'm waking up early to listen to the radio and hear my old co-worker's farewell (tomorrow is his last day), then meeting SaraB (wheee!!), Auggie is off to the chiropractor for what I expect to be an overdue adjustment, bust out work in the afternoon... then off to help teach puppy class and THEN... Payton's first official agility class!! AND Henri's!!
Georgie has been a little pukey tonight still, but if she's better tomorrow she will get to go too! I think I'll have to feed her just chicken or have her work for a toy though, at risk of upsetting her poor tum-tum.

And somewhere in there I need to sneak in a short run.

It's going to be crazy but it's going to be good.

The clinic I work at is also the impound facility for the city. This afternoon we had 2 boxers that were brought in - naturally I thought they were awesome :p So at like 5pm a guy calls and says his boxers are missing and that he got our number as the impound facility... his phone started cutting out though and I assumed he knew his dogs were with us, and that he was just calling to ask how to get them back or something. So I tell him yep, 2 fawn boxers came in today, this is what you need to do to have them released to you. And he starts going "ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME!? You guys have them? And they're safe? omg this is so awesome. Tell me again what I need to do. I will pay any amount and do anything to get them back! Give them an extra treat please!" The emotion in his voice, you could tell this guy had a million pounds of worry taken off his shoulders after hearing his dogs were okay. Genuine relief.

He was there picking them up within 30 minutes. He was sooooo relieved that his dogs were okay and so excited to get them back. It was just awesome because we see a lot of crappy cases where animals just don't get claimed or the owners don't care - like last week 2 dogs were brought in together, belonging to the same family, and the owners only picked up one of them and said they didn't want the other one.

Also, half day tomorrow wooo!
