Well I made chilli in the slow cooker tonight. No recipe, just started it off in a pan, then winged it in the slow cooker for the rest of the afternoon!

I do a lot of stews - beef with veg and stock.

Curry in the slow cooker - usually chicken, spices, tomatoes, sweet potato, then add chickpeas towards the end and spinach :)

throw in some chicken breast and pour in some salsa. super easy but also yummy

Chili of course is a good one. for mine I use ground beef but you can use chicken too. tomato sauce, kidney and black beans, onion, green pepper, oregano, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, you can add cayenne if you like spicy.

White chicken chili. Chicken, chicken stock, pinto beans, onion, green pepper, a bit of cream cheese, a little milk, oregano, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, paprika and cumin.

Chicken tacos!!

2 thawed chicken breasts
1 medium jar of salsa
1 packet of taco seasoning

3 hours later, stir it up, watch the chicken fall apart and BAM! chicken tacos.

Chicken and White bean chili! YUM. I love it slow cooked is best, really brings out the flavors. I always add buttermilk biscuits and use them to dip into the chili.

My fav recipe is:

1 box of stuffing ( I use cornbread stuffing)
1lb of chicken breast with skin (turkey works as well) or chicken thighs
2 cups water

Spray pot with non-stick spray, pour in stuffing. Place chicken on top and pour water in. Season chicken breast with salt and pepper. Cook on low for 6 hours.

meat + onions + liquid (like broth) = yum.

The chicken w/ salsa is really good. My mom likes to use the powdered french onion mix in her crock pot liquid. She also likes to use cream of XXXXX (whatever you're feeling) in it.

Ham + dr. pepper + brown sugar

Chicken of all sorts. I actually do a bunch of chicken quarters (legs & thighs) with some onion, celery, carrots and chicken stock. When the chicken is cooked, I pull it off the bone into little baggies and freeze them & freeze the broth from the crock pot. excellent for chicken noodle soup or chicken tacos.

Slow cookers are great because I almost never have a recipe. Just throw in a bunch of random things, some chicken broth, and there ya go! Lol. I've made some awesome stuff when clearing out leftover produce and meats from the fridge. Yummmmm.

My main thing is beef stew.

Cut up potatoes to fill 1/2-2/3 the pot. put slices of onions on top and chopped up celery on top. Put 1-2 packs of beef stew meat and pour a full carton of beef broth on it.

If you want it really tender it takes about 8-10 hours.

I like putting everything in before going to bed and then not eating it until I'm home from work the next day.

This is what I made tonight for tomorrow:

And this what I'm making later this week:

My dad bought me about 4/5 of these little mini crock pot books from a girl at church that was selling them for a school fundraiser and they are AMAZING.

But really a lot of stuff I use to just make up on the spot. I've never had something gross come out of my crockpot.
