6 weeks already?! That flew by! (Most likely because I'm not the one living with an under-exercised puppy :) )

Also, I demand Cookie pictures. NOW.

Thanks! And I can't :( My laptop died about two weeks ago...spent last weekend doing diagnostics and it looks like a harddrive failure. So I'm operating mostly from my phone at the moment. Not sure when I'll have my own computer again.

Yeah let me assure you it has not flown by...there has been nothing fast about it lol!

Sorry for the delay -- here's the latest:

Here's an X-ray of the Bionic Puppy (complete with superpowers, so she claims). Kid's a walking hardware.

In the surgeon's words, "It's looking great!"

A large bony callus has formed as part of the bone reconstruction process. As the femur remodels, the excess callus will be absorbed.

Mobility is looking good so it seems all our stretching and hotpacking since the rehab consult two weeks ago has paid off -- we've regained that extra 10 degrees of extension :) We are cleared for two gentle ten minutes walks a day, working gradually up to thirty minutes at a time by the end of week eight. She can also walk up and down the stairs once a day this week, slowing building that as well. Emphasis on the *WALK*! By the end of week ten she can start with trotting and controlled running and not long after that should be good to embrace life in Flatcoat style once again :)
