Can we not open this issue up again?

Seriously. It has been done to death and brings nothing but emotional fulled rages and forum drama.

Everyone has given their 2 cents on this issue before, and nobody EVER changes the way they feel. It just creates DRAMA.

There are plenty of reasons why people still debate stricter gun laws. Many of those reasons have been featured in the few horrible explosive long locked threads on gun control we have had on this forum.

There is NEVER enough drama for the OP.

Plus, I figured out why this happened. Someone named their child Kirill. :p

I agree. I do enjoy a good debate but guns and abortions have been done time and time again and it's just no good to go there again.

There was a teaser for this story before a commercial break for the local news, and my husband says, "But did it work?" lol.

That's about all I have to say about this.

Things like these are going on?:

http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2013/01/25/charges-man-pointed-ak-47-at-daughter-over-grades/

"ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – A 51-year-old St. Paul man is accused of pointing an AK-47 assault rifle at his daughter after the two argued about her grades in school, according to charges filed Friday in Ramsey County Court."
Because the issue here is not the weapon (in this case whether it was an AK-47 or a hunting rifle it's still a gun being pointed at a 15 yr old and her mother), it's the fact that this guy is an abusive tool. Abusive tools are abusive tools whether they are armed with an AK-47 or a steak knife. If this story is true though, this is one individual that does not need to be armed IMO.

^^ MEGA-LIKE. ^^ If he's ever convicted of DV charges or they take out a restraining order against him (highly likely), he won't be allowed to possess a firearm anyway.

Be careful with that thing. A kindergartener was suspended for threatening to shoot that deadly weapon at a friend.

Lol I wish I was kidding about the last part
