There are three times the recommended vaccines these days than there were when I was growing up. Many of the symptoms of autism mimic heavy metal poisoning and considering the amount of mercury STILL present in our vaccines, I don't find it all that far-fetched that they are causing issues.

I never plan on spawning, for the record. Given the amount of babies the people around me are having though, I get inundated with stuff left and right.

There is no longer mercury in childhood vaccines, in the US. Only the flu shot has any left. Most of the "new" ones never had any in the first place.

There are also flu shots available now, sans mercury. You just need to look into brands. It's marketed as Fluzone and at dr offices/clinics, they call it the preservative-free shot.

Our kids were/are immunized with all the childhood standards....mmr, polio, hep, tet, etc. Our oldest daughter got her chicken pox vax(2drounds) and STILL contracted chicken pox when it went through her class.....so we didn't bother getting it for the other kids.

No flu shots. No hpv rounds. Basically no 'new' (without years of trust under the belt) vaccines.

I try not to judge those who DO or those who DON'T because ultimately, they are responsible for the health and happiness of their child.....and they suffer when the child suffers in any way, they have to live with their choices good and bad.

My issue is that most parents that I've seen are homeopathy people. I can't stand this practice either. Nothing but sugar pills and dangerous non-treatments. Ugh. I have a very visceral reaction to it.

Edit: Most parents that I've seen that vaccinate are homeopathy people**

I don't have or want children, but I support vaccinating them appropriately. I've never really heard a good argument that made complete sense for not vaccinating your kids ever.
Agreed...I believe there should be some initial vaccinating. I don't think a lot of the new vaccines are necessary (or overly safe...), but the MMR, Tet, Hep are important. And TBH, I am very much more of a 'natural' person, but I still see some vaccinating as necessary.

Here's a visual of the currently recommended vaccines for kids (up to 22 vaccines in the first year)

Here's Dr. Sear's recommendations (15 vaccines in the first year)

I got my "puppy shots" to get into school minus whooping cough since my brother reacted to that and then haven't been vaccinated since as a) I don't tend to react well to vaccines and b) I become unreasonable when needles are involved c) I was a competitive athlete as a kid and mum didn't want vaccine reactions to affect my performance.

Anyway I never plan on spawning either so meh, do what you want to your kids.
