We have a captcha thinger on posts now! Is it helping with the spam? Also how does the new Youtube stuff work? When I try to put a video in I just get a white screen, which could be the computer I'm on?

Can anyone see this?

Yes, they are upgrading us. The Captcha thing is to curb spammers. It's new, give it some time. We'll work the bugs out as we go.

As for the Youtube thing, an instructional post is in the news and announcements board, but basically, you don't put the whole URL in, you just put in the video code between the YOUTUBE tags. I fixed the OP, so just click the "quote" button to see the change to the code.

Thanks eddie! I don't mind the captcha thing - I mean it's annoying but if it helps with the spam then whatever. Thanks for fixing my youtube video too, Imma go check out the instructions.

Even more interesting is that your post came up as "moderated". Even though you (apparently) got the captcha correct. :dunno:

Oh god the captcha is going to be the death of me. I'm TERRIBLE at those. I typically end up refreshing them until I get one I can read easily. I only had to refresh this one three times!

I'm all for anything to help the spam and I'm not going to complain but I'm gonna miss quick reply, I hope we get that back.

But, YAY YOUTUBE EMBEDDING!!!

I absolutely hate the **** captchas. I am so bad at them and always make mistakes. Another forum I am on requires you to post an intro before you can post anywhere else on the forum. Can something like that be done here? Maybe a Captcha for the intro but not afterwards? I have a really hard time with these as letters tend to get jumbled in my head! I have to hit refresh a few times before I get one I can even decipher. Please consider another way to curb spam.

:rofl1: I am so happy I'm not the only one that does that. I remember one time I was talking to a friend about my hate for those and she looked at me like i was nuts. So, I'm happy to hear that it isn't JUST me

Is there an "I hate CAPTCHA" facebook group? How can two psuedo-words make me feel so stupid? I know it serves a really good purpose, but mannnnnnnn... still don't like it.

Now excuse me while I go refresh until I can read that first "word".
