I had the privilege of being invited by the owner of Dallas Air Dogs to bring my 9wo Cardigan Welsh Corgi pups (Baby siblings to Keeva!) down to her place to play on the baby lure, and also run some of my adult dogs on the full course. The baby lure is a 20-30 yard simple course, and run slow for babies. Low impact for the babies, but gave me a chance to see how they liked it, and their prey drive. They LOVED it, and all caught on to chasing it really fast!

The hard part is picking out only 10 pics, since I can only post 10 photos per thread, here's the full link to all the pics: http://www.texasdogphotography.com/dreamrydercardislurecoursedec302012

SheDaisy loved chasing the 'bunny' during lure cousing, but most of all, she loved catching it! "Get dat bunny!"

Some pics of their Daddy (Roy Rogers) lure coursing on a 600 yard field. He's a natural! (And he is also a UKC CH, AKC major pointed, nosework titled, and herds *G*)

Their Mama Galaxy usually would have run too, but she was on rest from having tweaked her shoulder going over the babies 4ft x-pen. She was fine, but I didn't get pics of her lure coursing this time since I didn't want to run her post injury and aggravate her healing.

Meeeep! So cute!!! So who was the most into it? :D
Funny thing is, LoKee was most into it. She's normally the 'quiet one', but apparently like her big brother Bernie, she fooled me good! *G* She now lives with, and is terrorizing the Doxie that Galaxy had helped find a few months ago, after the car accident where Sasha (The Doxie) was missing in the woods a few days. :)

Thanks! I love drivey Cardigans, who are not fat slugs *G* Mama Galaxy herds, is a service dog, does volunteer lost dog search work (with multiple successful finds!), nosework, lure courses, and we've successfully done agility and obedience matches. She is one win away from her IABCA Championship (Not many shows, so I've not been able to finish her), and while not AKC pointed, has had multiple competitive class wins, including in supported entries. Being a service dog, and having been on a student budget I could only do a limited number of shows and travel, and chose not to send her off with a handler and to focus on fun stuff with her instead but sometimes I do regret that. I've been toying with entering her in AKC shows this year (She'll be 7 in march) just for the heck of it, and plan on showing her in UKC.

Galaxy at 6yrs. This is what Keeva (her 'clone' in red!) will look like in 4 years:

Water dog. But I've not yet been able to convince her to dock dive... will keep working on that come summertime!

Galaxy playing at the lake 3 days before she free-whelped the above 7 puppies. She kept her beautiful full suspension 'flying trot'.

We continued hiking, and jogging through her entire pregnancy. She was even lure coursing mid pregnancy in September in humid Texas late summer weather! A really amazing girl, and her hurting her shoulder last week was her first real injury, and she was only limping a few hours. I kept her quiet a few days after simply out of paranoia, since I can't have her hurting herself more.

Fantastic pictures! SheDaisy is my favorite.
Good taste! SheDaisy is my personal keeper! ;) heehee Dixie was the conformation pick bitch who will also be doing performance. She is living with one of my close friends. I am growing out Jovi to see how she looks in a few months then will decide between show/performance and pet/performance placing her. She has a possible minor fault (light eye), but I want to see how it looks once her eye color is as it will be as an adult.

Thanks for the compliment on the pics :)

Thanks! I hope I do well. Keeva's litter was my first, and 2 are already titled. Others are working towards titles. Her brother was #8 UKC in breed for '11, with a competitive BPIS win and showed at Premier. These are full siblings to Keeva, I re-bred in hopes of a really nice pick girl to move forward with. And I got 3 nice girls I'm growing out. We'll see how they do in show and performance! I'm excited :)

Just note that you can have an unsound leggy Cardigan, and a very sound short Cardigan. The length of leg isn't what you're looking at while evaluating soundness. That being said, looks-wise, I prefer leggier dogs over the real short dogs. But I also don't want TOO leggy, either!

I was so happy they took to it so well! Some of these babies, like LoKee, don't seem all too drivey in every day life, but when given this opportunity to shine she did! She is in a local pet home, and her owner is interested in doing lure coursing, and possibly other sports with her. That'll be fun if they do, as this will be her first 'do something' dog!

Oh of course! Look wise I just prefer more leg. :p Do you have a website or facebook? We're (hah I should I'm) hoping to add a male within the next 2-5 years and I'd love to keep up on your dogs.

My facebook is the studio page, http://www.facebook.com/DreamEyceStudio but I don't talk about litters there since I do a lot of rescue volunteer work, and shelter/rescue photography and you know how rescue-only people can be about breeding.

If I have another litter, it won't be till one of these girls is older, and if she turns out and passes health evals. You know, all that jazz! Galaxy is 7 this year and I needed a new service dog prospect to begin training, and want a puppy to show and do fun stuff with :)

I'm following your page - you take beautiful photos! Maybe by the time we're ready for another dog they'll have perfected cloning and I can have my own Roy Rogers. :p
