New foster kitty

So, Captain One Eye Willie Jack Thomas (or so my mom is calling him, when I gave her the list of names I was considering...) is at my apartment now. He's being great so far. Super sweet boy, and he didn't even really show much more than a slight interest in the rats. (I may move their cage up to the top level of the FN anway, just in case.) He's been alone at my apartment for a bit, so I'm hoping I don't return to my apartment in shambles, cat pee everywhere, and the rat cage under siege...but he was being good when I left.

Alas, I only have one picture of him. It is incredibly hard to take a good cell phone photo of a cat that won't stop rubbing up against your legs or in general hold still.


He definitely has character. ^_^

I'll upload more pictures of him tomorrow. He's just So Sweet. And likes to sleep in the bathtub. Lol Understands the word no, isn't destructive, ignores the rats, and doesn't get on furniture unless you're on it. Very good kitty!

Soooooo...keeper?

I was about ready to chuck him out into the cold last night. He would NOT STOP MEOWING. LOL This little barely audible "Mew. *pause* Mew. *pause* Mew. *pause* Mew." Whether he was in my bedroom or not. I eventually just shut the door, turned my fan on, then had a few "if you meow right outside my door I will open it and boot you down the hallway" moments until he stopped. (And by boot, I mean I opened the door, told him no, then scooted him away with my foot. I didn't kick the poor kitty.) I'm hoping we can establish some kind of bedtime routine to prevent him from doing that...he doesn't meow at all otherwise.

And I think I wish I could keep him. But I really don't think its going to be possible. I am, however, not really rushing to find him a home in the hopes that I can think of some way to keep him.
