The Venting Thread

I do use something similar during the day, but you can only wear it for so long each day or it loses it effect.

Melatonin isn't helping for sleep as much as it has in the past.

Apparently the right combination of Swiss chard and miso creates a flavor like beets. I hate beets.

There goes my massive plate of fresh pasta down the drain.

Are you sick with a virus? If so, antibiotics aren't going to do anything.

I've had germs since before Christmas..first a cough and cold..then the snuffles went away but the cough remained. Now I have a new cold, probably because the child brought something home from daycare. I don't go to the doctor for colds though. I bought decongestants, but these germs laugh at my measly pill.

After a night out drinking this past Wednesday, I got a few slices of pizza from this place near the bar. In my slightly less than sober state, I decided taking a huge bite as soon as the pizza was handed to me was a perfectly acceptable thing to do. Said pizza had come directly from the oven. Can you get a third degree burn on the roof of your mouth? Yea, not fun. Just slightly higher on the list of fun things to do than biting into your tongue. Not biting your tongue, biting into your tongue.

Between those two little oral incidents and the bout of monkey flu (aka terrible cold/sore throat deal) I had, my mouth has been miserable this week.

Eek... Seems like everyone is sick lately but you really got screwed, sorry.

I don't think it's a virus. At first I had bronchitis, then the flu, now I have a really stopped up nose and a bad cough (which is what I had when I had bronchitis). I think infection has set up in my sinuses (which happens a lot for me, I had a surgery for it, but obviously it's still happening) and just won't go away.

Just realized that Valentine's Day is in a month. Josh is going to be with his new girlfriend and I am going to be alone. BRB, going to go wallow in my own self pity for the rest of the day.

You wont be alone even now you have baby button thats something he WONT have. We wont be doing any thing for Valentines Day here since its my Grandfathers 80th and they are throwing him a party or something.

I hate this time of year!! Roll on spring and summer. Unless it wants to snow.... But no more grey!!!!!!!

Ugh I just ran a bath for Hannah and forgot to flip the switch to close the drain. I didn't realize it either until the hot wter ran out. So now she has a half bath with lukewarm water. Ugh

Classes have started again and Mike is already uber depressed over it. This semester is going to be really hard on him.

Not a vent, but I glanced at the title of this thread I swear it looked like "The Vomiting Thread" for a split second.

(Not a vent either) I am home at my folks, visiting them & & my man was super depressed about me going even though I have been staying over with him helping him while he works for like ... 3 mos :/ ... Men are so dependent :/

My vent for the day: Saturday night I was slightly drunk - from margaritas with way to much tequila. I will NEVER drink tequila again. Yesterday I had the runs so bad I couldn't stay off the toilet (sorry tmi) and I had a headache so bad my eyes were burning. Today my stomach was still a little upset and I haven't stopped eating since I didn't eat a lot yesterday but now I feel like a cow cause I am so hungry!!!

So let me get this straight... You're doing everything Cesar says and you claim he's a dog training god but your dog is still doing the behaviour you don't like... So you get mad at me when I suggest other more scientifically based training methods after you ask me for advice? Why did you ask me in the first place, customer?

I hope my boss(es) know how much work I put in today to get all my stuff done. I hate days where it's like 'We need you to do XYZ. And we need it all in an hour!'

Guess who worked through lunch?

When it is 6:30, and we close at 7, please do not spend 25 minutes trying to decide which days you want to schedule your cats' vaccine appointments on. Go home, look at a calendar, call us back when you figure it out!! We have stuff to do at the end of the day and you're interrupting that.

Did you end up having any surgeries today?!

I bought the rats new toys and they aren't even PLAYING WITH THEM YET!
