Some of you may remember a post I made a while back about starting up a tag business... well, after a lot of consideration, I decided what will really make my business unique is to not just offer tags stamped with the stamps you can buy in stores or online - but to actually MAKE my own.

Of course, that makes things a bit complicated, and I definitely don't have all the tools to actually start carving into steel and making stamps.
Sooooo I've launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise the fundage! In the rewards you'll find opportunities to get some of my doodles, derpy dogs, and tags if you chip in. Check out the title image for a few ideas of designs I plan to carve (an a-frame, flyball jump, a dock, agility jump, obedience dumbell, on and on) - I've got a sketchbook I'm doodling ideas up in so if you have something you want to see, mention it, and I'll doodle it up too!

I'll keep this thread updated as I'm going to start scanning my sketches for additional stamp designs and adding more things to the campaign.

Campaign link is HERE:

Feel free to spread the word to your various dog pals!

Very cool! I'm loving the idea!

Heads up - looks like each of your levels on the indiegogo site is doubled on the right hand side of the main page for some reason.

Awesome! Do you hand-cut your tags, or did you find a supplier for 14 gauge? The thickest I can find is 18 :(

Well that's weird, LOL. Should be fixed now!

I found a single supplier making 14 gauge. Otherwise I was chatting with people about buying a cutter and hand-cutting them!

Yep - it's fixed on my computer at least. :) Can't donate right now, but hope to later this month; I did post it to fb and have a few people interested. :)

Sounds very cool!

I think there is a typo in your header

"Custom designed and created stamps to decorate hand-stamped dogs for dogs who love to play."

Should that read hand-stamped tags for dogs?

I've been looking for 10, no success :(
Good luck - I was having trouble even finding a 14 gauge cutter, let alone 14 gauge sheets! 10 gauge aluminum is what they use for aluminum gutters, maybe you can check some industrial supplies?

k9krazee, I dunno why you would have gotten an error - maybe check with IndieGoGo? I had trouble adding my paypal address for a bit and had to beat it into submission a bit, haha.

Thanks guys!! Keep sharing and spread the word please! This weekend I will have an update sharing some more potential design sketches!

Posted on my facebook! I had someone wanting to know if you're currently taking orders for tags or if you're waiting for the indiegogo to run out first?

I have my eye on a couple. I don't see anyone around here with these kinds of tags, but they're adorable. Some of the them seem a bit silly, but I like your's.

I want the 'I herd you' one :D

Also shared to FB and I will be donating soon!

Thanks!! My plan right now is to start taking orders for tags that DON'T involve the custom created stamps about the middle of this month. The crowdfunding is to raise the funds to buy all the materials to make the custom stamps, so that will not happen until I hit the goal (or sell enough tags to make up whatever I don't get crowdfunded.)
BUT if the project gets fully funded before the goal, I will be able to start ordering my new materials and can start working on the custom stamps sooner! So while the plan right now is to wait until the crowdfunding is done, it's a flex plan, haha.
