What does your dog think of the vacuum? A toy? A monster? Some random object that makes loud noises?

I know some dogs that are scared of vacuums, but Crystal thinks it is a toy! :lol-sign: She play bows at it and has zoomies whenever the vacuum comes out, and tries to get it to chase her.

I have the dog brush attachment for my Dyson, Rig LOVES the vacuum. Now if I could only figure out a way to get him to push the darned thing.

Pip and Maisy hate it.

Squash seems to think it is the most amazing toy that was ever invented in the whole history of the world. If he's around, he follows me around trying to grab it and run away with it. If he's crated, he does his crazy PLAY NAO PLAY PLAY NAO bark.

Usually I just put him outside.

The girls mostly ignore it but will move out of the way. Boone is annoying and lays right in front of it.

Surprisingly, Milo is afraid of it, but prefers to hide rather than try to kill it (which is what he does to my hair dryer).

Jackson is indifferent to it. If it comes close to him, he'll move away. But if he's on the couch or whatnot, and we're vacumming on the floor near him, he'll just stay put. So he's neither here nor there. But he doesn't want to be terribly close to it.

Crossbone is ears down nervous, but curious, and will walk in front of it and act like you're chasing him down or cornering him.

Lucy doesn't mind it. She just gets up and moves if you come close to her while vacuuming.

Juno is ridiculous lol you can nudge her with the vacuum and she just lays there. Freak. =P

Traveler ignores it for the most part, he'll get up if it comes at him but that's about it.

Didgie, well Didgie has her self control lessons around it. She loves/hates it. She shrieks at it while biting at it and trying to drag it away if I allow it. But, we're working on staying on or in her crate while I vacuum....while having her face shoved with treats. We have to do the same though for brooms and dusting.

Apparently she just doesn't think I should ever clean.

None of mine like it, but I never really made an effort to get them not to care. The adults give it sketchy looks and lay in their beds or leave, and Journey stays away just watching.

Quinn is fairly indifferent but avoids it if it comes too close. She will usually stand behind me and supervise while I vacuum, or sit on the couch out of my way.

My dogs ignore it completely.

All my shelties though would attack the vacuum with a vengeance if you didn't kennel them. It would set Trey's heeling/nipping off really bad in particular. I really think it was all just motion reactivity for them all. Vacuum movement must be controlled. ;)

merlin will find a wall/corner/"safe place" and stare at it from affar.

More than anything he will cry and get upset because he wants to be next to me but doesn't want to be next to IT lol
