Any suggestions on how to get baby to sleep when it's still inside you?? Lol. She has been going non stop all afternoon! I'm so uncomfortable tonight.
Hah I got nothing! I hope you were able to sleep okay though! The spud still won't let Matt feel her kicking around - as soon as I put his hand on my belly she stops. Brat baby. Lol.

Yah she settled down when I went to sleep. I swear she was doing barrel rolls in there for a bit :D

And we had the exact same problem for weeks - my hubby was getting so frustrated! They can sense the warmth and shadow from the big man hand - my midwife said its comforting and makes them relax/stop kicking. By the time you get to my stage, you shouldn't have that problem anymore lol!

Had my 20 week midwife appointment today. DH got to come which was cool :) He heard the heartbeat, after which my midwife said she would bet that this is a girl! 147 was baby's heart rate. Baby didn't like the Doppler and actually kicked it the midwife said! Too funny.

So now I haven't been able to do anything but fret over a name for a girl. We have a name picked out if it's a boy but choosing a girls name has been so stressful I can't do anything else! I want to have a name in my head before our ultrasound on Monday. It's irrational and silly I know, but I can't help it.

I hope Erica checks in soon!

My blood pressure was down to 81/48 Christmas night and the next day! I felt so awful. The doctor said I need to head to the ER if it goes down to 70/anything, but luckily it hasn't dropped more. I'm not technically on bed rest but I'm not allowed to drive or go out and have to rest and limit my activity.

That's great that your husband got to come! We've been lucky and Matt has been to almost every appointment - it makes scheduling difficult but I really like having him there.

Have you checked nymbler.com? MilosMommy recommended it to me forever ago and it's super helpful for finding names. Also Baby Name Finder is a little more advanced but really fun to play around with. Matt and I are apparently polar opposites when it comes to names (which is a shock because he just let me name the dogs whatever I wanted LOL).

Our baby has been consistently in the 150s for a long time now, and we are supposed to be having a girl so who knows! I don't know how accurate the heart rate myth is though. Girl names are super hard I agree - I did find that nymbler website helpful.

Yikes - hope it doesn't drop any lower! Take care of yourself!!

I checked out nymbler but didn't find anything new that I liked. I prefer Evangeline or Quinn but DH doesn't like either (surprise surprise lol). We have settled on Lillian and Lennox for now!

And WHOOOOO today I was Dx'd with fibromyalgia (which I sort of knew/thought I had, but usually the seizure meds/anti depressants I take work for that). They said I can go back on one medication for it but I don't want to.

Is anyone taking, or did anyone cease to take, prescription medications during pregnancy? How do you decide if it's safe, worth potential risks, etc.

Is Pedialyte okay to drink? Recent stress is making me eat a lot less... So I need the nutrients.

soy protein is also good.
I was told by my nutritionist and another doctor to limit soy during pregnancy. I'm not sure how valid that is but considering some of the effects of large amounts of soy on hormones, it wouldn't surprise me if smaller amounts would effect a fetus. I'd check into it before I started supplementing with soy.

Yeah I would avoid soy. Definitely take a good prenatal every day. Make your own smoothies if you feel up to it. I like doing almond milk, fruit (banana and blueberries), a natural whey chocolate protein powder, oats, coconut oil and chia seeds. It's surprisingly good if you can find a protein powder you like!

When did everyone start buying baby supplies?

I'm 17 weeks, and I haven't bought one thing. Mostly because it was such a high risk pregnancy, and after two previous miscarriages I wasn't about to get a bunch of baby things and then have my heart broken.

But now some of the pregnant girls I follow on tumblr who are around the same due date as me are posting that they've gotten just about everything on their list, they have stacks and stacks of diapers and everything all set up...which seems a little unnecessary to me, but I'm feeling unprepared now!

Oh, I didn't know that. I'm sorry  disregard that then ... But I do second the ensure, that stuff is pretty good.

Tho don't they make special drinks like ensure (I know there are pills but some ppl have probs taking pills) for pregnant women?
