Look what came last week!!

Seed Savers, Pinetree, and some others came too.

However, there is a SLIGHT possibility we may move (if I can find someone to buy our current house...our dream property is up for sale and we are approved IF we sell this house) so its a bit hard to garden plan!

I want to do a big veggie garden next year. Getting all the grass dug up and turned under is going to be awful, but I'm looking forward to a nice garden.

These can grow in the winter here. Aren't they beautiful. There's a free class at the nursery which is about 1/4 mile away from me this Sat. It's about growing these and they will have a discount on them if you print out their coupon from the Internet. This nursery is cool. They have classes all the time...some are free and some aren't. But this would be the first one for me since I've lived here.

Glad to see I'm not the only garden freak on here! I have a big 30x40 plot, and I grow a ridiculous amount of veggies in it. I don't do raised beds, just old skool till-the-ground-in-rows method. I do all veggies, not flowers.

It's already crunch time for me. I have to get my seedlings in the ground by early March if they're going to have enough time to get their roots established before the summer heat hits. That means I have to start my indoor seedlings by Jan. 1. Only two weeks away!

I'm agonizing over my stacks of catalogs. I have to place my seed orders next week, and I'm still trying to decide on my final list. Counting onion sets, I have more than 400 plants in several dozen varieties planned for next year. Fortunately, only about 250-300 of those are going to be transplants.

Seed Savers, Pinetree, and some others came too.
Have you had any luck with Pinetree? I've never ordered from them before, but I'm thinking about doing it this year. They don't have the biggest selection, but they do have some of the best prices I've seen.

Follow the link, and it takes you to a fun veggie garden planner that you can try free for 30 days. And you don't have to provide any kind of payment info up front. You can draw your garden, add plants, etc.

Can I see pictures of everyone's seed starting set up? I'd like to try to start some stuff inside now that we have room, I'm just not sure the best way to do it.
