whatever; make it into whatever you wish. The people that matter to me on here and the people involved in the situation understand the matter fully and that is enough for me <3.
I wasn't mocking you. Just reminding you that what you posted contradicts your previous post, that's all. And please, have some respect for Stephy Tang. Give her the credit when someone tells you, you're pretty :)

Renee, I refuse to believe you're that gullible.

She does this in every thread, it's actually humorous. She is so patterned she's either a sociopath and a brilliant social scientist.
I may or may not be, but it's not my job -- paid or unpaid -- to omnisciently make those decisions.

Every time I've known Romy to involve herself in a situation where someone needed help here she's been 100% correct. Every. Single. Time. And there have been more than probably most are aware of.

If she feels alarmed and has a need to dig, well, her brother IS with the FBI and rather protective of his sister.

I'm going to trust a proven source. If we're proven wrong at some point, then we're wrong and life will go on.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Linds.

And for what it's worth, I think we could/should have removed that personal information sooner. I can't speak for the other moderators, but I know that I would have made an edit as soon as I became aware of it. The thing is, I didn't see it. Do you know how many times that post was reported? Zero. Not a single person who saw it and clutched their chest dramatically saying, "Oh my goodness! For her own safety, that information should be removed pronto" reported that (or any) post in that thread. I dug through my emails, even in the "trash" and "spam" folders and the only reported posts we have from those dates are about spam.
Obviously I can't bring up the thread but there was one if not more moderators PARTICIPATING in the thread. Obviously they read that it was there and didn't take action.

Exactly. It's not like it was some obscure thread where no moderators were involved.

One moderator in particular believes Stephy's story... so if she believed she actually WAS selling herself that night, WHY was that info left up for DAYS? ANYONE could've found Stephy with that information that was given.

You're adults. When we had a bunch of kids on here, yes, we moderated stuff like that a lot more closely.

And people complained because we did.

The only person that information possibly put at risk was the OP. No one else. If the case had been otherwise, yes, it would have been gone in a heartbeat.

No, we're not going to line edit posts, especially not right now while we spend the majority of our time cleaning up spam.

There are lots of dog forums on the internet.

I beg to disagree on one aspect. That THREAD promoted something else, THAT WHEN YOU NEED A QUICK BUCK, PROSTITUTION IS THE KEY. And people actually supported THAT??? I think I remember somebody even giving an advice about using "protection" and watching some sort of video... WTH??Everything posted online is available on search engines, one wrong input of a keyword to the search bar and THAT THREAD can come up.

I could care less about the OP, but the show of support for prostitution, of selling one's body for money is really appalling. I dont know what's more ridiculous, the THREAD ITSELF or the COMMENTS it garnered.

There are some fantastical lives on this forum so I am sure it's not surprising to embrace this story. I am sure it validates something, ensuring life is as exciting as a campy novella.

By the by, the fbi is a vast bureau and while government workers have their perks I don't think the title makes anyone any more protected from being lied to. Says the gal dating a doj employee, I've been lied to like everyone else.

Just be careful.

I highly doubt anyone would complain about having a NAME, ADDRESS, PROSTITUTION RATE, and WORK TIMES deleted. It's not even so much the thread was about prostitution- it's that Stephy gave about 3 lines of information that could've potentially gotten her VERY hurt or even DEAD.

For trying to come off as so caring and compassionate to the OP, I find it... disgusting... that information of Stephy's whereabouts were left in that thread. Then again, you did tell her to keep doing what she was doing (which anyone can reference in the thread that hasn't been deleted).

Since Chaz is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) dog forum on the internet, it comes up a LOT in searches. Look at how easily the "real" Kristen1980 found this forum.

This is one reason we made PBF private, to limit the requirement of censoring, however this is currently google searchable and thus there is an arguable responsibility to kids as there was before.

she was in a suite with another woman there . you have to set up appt to get in to the building. its not like she was standing on the corner slinging her ****.

and prostitution is legal in Canada , so obviously the Canadian people think its OK to do to make a quick buck.

We can't be responsible for what other people's kids search; that's their parents' responsibility, and if that's the worst thing they find searching, then maybe it's a good thing? ;)

Sure, it would be great to make everything rainbows and unicorns. But there's not time.

Again, we're not debating the legality. We're debating should we delete personal information such as when, where, and how to meet a young girl for sex immediately?

Now, I believe the Ignorant lies such as "spitting semen to avoid diseases" should be addressed but no one is calling for a ban of such ignorance, supported by members or not.

You had plenty of time to post IN that thread, though.

I don't care about what other peoples kids are searching for. I am, however, concerned that some random CREEPS could've read that information and harmed Stephy.

What good did leaving up that information do except for open up the possibility of some internet weirdos seeking out Stephy? She would've been easy to find since she posted exactly where she was.

Exactly- this is my main concern. Everything from her location, to her name, to her rates, to her working times were posted.

I don't care if little Johnny stumbles across a thread about sex or prostitution.

The main issue is that Stephy listed information on exactly how to find her for sex- and she even welcomed it. She told people to come look her up.

There is NO good reason for that information to have been left in that thread. None.

Hi. I'm a Canadian. I associate with many Canadians. 99% of them do NOT believe that is ok.

Also, parts of StephyMei's prostitution story were illegal.

Just to be clear, what I ACTUALLY said about it:

Be careful.

Sometimes you do what you gotta do. It's a harsh world.

And hey, it's a lot more honest than someone who does all of that to "earn" security under the guise of marriage.

*****
True, Adrianne

Just be sure, Stephy, that you're doing this for self-preservation, not self-destruction.

And, if you do go through with it . . . maybe you should use your mother's name
Yes, the thread still exists, just not where it can be publicly accessed.

And Adrianne, yes, you were 100% correct in addressing that bit of information.

Maybe someone else saw it and benefited.
