I loved this colour but the dye doesn't seem to be very good... I noticed this morning there were splotches of dye on my pillowcase... and at work I looked in the mirror and realized it's turned from chestnut brown to PURPLISH red... then at the gym tonight I looked down at my towel and realized IT was splotchy with dye. It's been four days! I have never had a dye run like this before. I just got out of the shower and looked in the mirror and my roots are back to reddish-brown already. I only dyed it four days ago.
I think I'm gonna buy the box of colour oops and strip it out. I've stripped my hair before and it was fine so I think I'm going to just do it again. Boo. =< I loved the chestnut brown, I thought it was kinda sexy.

I have never colored my hair & I never will ... Ever, I'm afraid that I will damage if or something, my hair is one of my fave features about myself & it took 5 yrs to get to the length it is now ... Lol I even take supplements (super colligen with "C"), keratin, & colic acid for my hair.

If you colored your hair with box dye, Beanie, it could really just be the case of bad, cheap dye. The dye you get at Sally's is way better, and shouldn't turn on you.

I've used box dye before, years and years ago there was a perfect colour in a box. They quit making it so I tried other boxes that were supposed matches - nope, not the same. Me and the ladies at Sally's tried to match it... never could get it right. I still have a bottle of developer and a few little bottles of colour laying around in fact. =P That was the first time I stripped my hair, I finally gave up and said "forget it, I'm going back to my natural colour." I've never had a problem with a box colour before. This is horrible. It's L'oreal which I thought should be good, my mom uses L'oreal IIRC.
I wanted something temporary, but I didn't want only a few DAYS temporary! Sheesh.

I am trying to teach myself to knit. I've watched a million you tube videos as well as illustrated instructions. In spite of this, it will. not. work.

I swear that nothing has made me feel more stupid than this ignorant yarn. I thought this was supposed to be relaxing...

Jin's guitar came today. Not the venting part. Venting part is that is smells heavily of cig smoke. Ew.

Other vent is that I'm dying for a Dober puppy.

How do you lose a job at a (low end) department store three weeks before Christmas? Sometimes you just need to grow up and take responsibility for yourself. 25 and you can't hold down the most basic jobs...I don't even know what to think.

Learning to knit is really hard. It's not difficult once you "get" it, but learning how to make those first stitches is really freaking difficult. I threw knitting needles across the room more than once trying to learn. But once you have that a-ha moment, you're like "OH! OH I GETS IT" and it's smooth sailing after that.
Don't feel stupid. It's really hard to see exactly what is happening in a video online.

I cried all the way home from my house tonight because I am never. getting. in. that. house. I want to just sell it, take a huge loss on it since it's completely torn up now, go bankrupt, and just try and forget this ever happened.

The first week I was learning to knit, DH made the comment "I never knew there was so much swearing in knitting." lol
:rofl1::rofl1: My mom was trying to get back into it about a year ago and my dad called me and was like "Your mom has been cursing and ripping stitches out for hours. I hope you're happy." LOL.

I think of all crafting stuff as something that you have to royally screw up before you get good at it. If you haven't spent a couple hours ripping back seams or stitches or cursing and throwing things you're probably not human. It is relaxing (usually) once you get past that point.
