woohooo! I think I solved my vault problem! We did some killer leg vaults and some great back vaults today!

Here's a video of our back vaults, the last 3 were awesome. Can't wait to start adding height to it, but one step at a time!

New video of the Zingbot playing disc! She's getting awesome at catching, still trying to keep the discs low to keep her from jumping, but every now and then the wind will catch them and I get a preview of what she's capable of. We're working on drops on cue, bringing the disc, basic patterns, go arounds and throughs. Very happy with her progress!

So I just wanted to say that Zuma and Zinga are so insanely impressive in person. Zinga is SUCH a good catcher for this little itty puppy and oh my god Zuma is so much fun to watch!

I'm glad you guys enjoy the videos!

We had a comp this last weekend, a Skyhoundz Disc Dogathon Qualifier. While we didn't place/qualify, I'm extremely happy with how we did. I know Zuma would've done much better with someone who can throw better, so I'm going to focus on my accuracy for a while. I can't remember the actual placements and they arn't up on the Skyhoundz site yet, but we did actually fairly well in Freestyle considering we started this 5 months ago. We placed 6/7th out of 25ish dogs. So, so proud of her. I'm hoping someone got a video of our routine and will post it if they did.

Here's Didgie today! My throws are terrible, after this video I went an practiced without a dog and will continue to do so.

But I will say I'm super impressed with her catching seeing as of Saturday she had never caught a frisbee before. So she's figuring that out pretty fast now! If only I could throw better.

Didgie is look soooo great! Another pattern to try is the pendulum. Just like what you are doing now but you send them in a go-around between throws. So instead of the throws being 180 degrees apart, make them more like at 15 degrees on either side of you. So, she'll still be running full out but it helps her learn to collect when she goes in for her go around as well.

Another Didgie video! My throws are slowly getting better and she's getting good at catching really fast.

Wow, didn't know there were disc Chazzers! I don't have any recent videos, but here are some photos from our first competition and a playdate. Excited for our local Skyhoundz qualifier next year.

This one makes me giggle, that is what you get for nose-bumping it, Rave!

Didgie is doing GREAT! She is a natural, and looks awesome. I have a few cell phone vids of Jackson, but it was really hard to tape and throw at the same time. But he made a few decent catches that I was happy with! And most of all, he's just having sooo much fun, I love seeing him just... love it so much and get amped and excited to play. I'll post tomorrow!

Here's a new video of Zinga! This was our first time attempting overs. Also, I know you are all jealous of my boots.

Zinga is awesome!

Here's the videos I promised from the other day. I know he's never going to be like a herding breed when it comes to frisbee, but I'm so thrilled with his progress. This is a dog who never cared about fetch for the longest time. But I turned it into something fun and exciting for him, and now he just llooovesss it.

So the beginning of the video is mainly showing his enthusiasm for the game. I just love seeing him so ready to play. And I say 'ready' alot because that's a word that peps him up, LOL, so ignore my annoying voice. Now I had to put the catches in slow-mo because I suck at throwing and taping at the same time. Cannot multitask at all.

But eh, not too bad for a little terrier who used to care less about a frisbee (and ball for the matter).

Jackson is SO freaking cute and he's come so far from being like "meh" to "GIVE IT TO ME!!" He's looking so great, you've done awesome with him. I'm also super impressed by you being able to take a video while you do this.

So yesterday was the second time I met up with the Disc club and it was so much fun again. Total girls night and just really laid back and fun!

I brought Traveler and Didgie this time which was interesting. I was a little nervous about Traveler because he has a tendency to loose his brain in stimulating environments and I've not built up his want for the disc as much as I should have. And they have metal poles holding up the ceiling that I was convinced he would pee on.

But he surprised me and was so good! Scattered brained but was going after the disc, catching it, didn't pee on anything, only crowd surfed twice and stayed with me. I think he's going to do great after a couple more times.

And Didgie, she is just so FUN! She is so on, wants the disc bad but manages to stay under threshold so she is able to focus on me and what we're doing. She's learning to read me well and what I want. She's catching almost every throw and just isn't distracted at all by new environments, people or anything.

Here she is today

Wait, HIS? Is there something you aren't telling us in the other thread?

Also, I'm loving these videos!

Nico's previous person used a disc with him a lot, I might pick it up in the spring and mess around with it.
