To make a long story short, because I'm too exhausted to go into detail, we had a fire... A bad one in some ways... Because it was the furnace room, and cold weather, the furnace basically pumped smoke through my whole house, top to bottom and every crevice...

The good news is the fire caused a water line to burst that acted like a sprinkler and put the fire out, thankfully with our water system the water just pumped until someone came home... It did cause flooding but that's better than what could have happened....

The scary part is all the pets except Mindy and Foster who were at the shop with the guys were in the house...

Siren, Lola (Parrot) and Marley (Kitten) were badly affected by smoke, Marley was frothing at the mouth :-( the vet bills are not in yet and I'm sure they'll be scary but in the end everyone is ok, though it was touch and go for Marley for a bit...

Now we are out of the house for 3/4 weeks and trying to figure out housing for everyone and that's significant because we have a big family, and between both families have 6 dogs, 4 cats and a parrot to home..

And we're praying we'll be home for Christmas...

I just wanted to update, and let everyone know why I may seem MIA and that we're all ok...

You know Chaz can pull through if you need temporary foster homes for any pets...or anything else you lost.

I'm so glad you all are safe...wasn't it you who had a house fire a while back?

Oh god :/ please let me know if there's anyway I could help. I could probably try to talk my parents into letting me take the parrot if needed for a bit (can't have another dog, and bad allergies to cats here :( ) but I'm a little far still.

We did, they say lightning never strikes the same place twice... Well not true...

Though this was not anywheres near as bad... Not even close... The "actual" damage is confined to one room really, but flooding and smoke damage is quite bad and will take quite some time to paint and clean up

I think we have Lola settled, she's going to stay in the office at the shop, it's safe, warm and someone's there all day..

Jenn, Matt, Kolby and their 2 dogs, and 2 cats are going to Matt's Dad's house, Jeff, Jonah and I are at. Friends right now with Mindy, Di, Siren and Foster (but it wont work for much more than a couple days) our cats are both at another friends

Glad everyone's all right. I wish I was closer and could take some of the furkids for a bit. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

That's . . . . wow. The pipe busting . . . well, if you're going to have a pipe bust I guess that's the time for it to happen! Relieved that everyone came through it, at least not too much the worse for wear and tear.

Fire is top of my list of things to worry about. This is your second isn't it? Or maybe I am remembering wrong. I am so glad that everyone is safe, hopefully the vet bills won't be too bad. Thank goodness the pipe broke.
