I signed up for barkbox, got a great deal on groupon :)

Every month they send you a box full of dog goodies! All made in the USA, specified by your dogs size.. treats, toys, chews and the like! So I figure christmas we will save our box to be opened on christmas morning

No idea what is in each box before you get it but here's an example
We've been getting bark box or a while!

My guys always get a little something... which usually turns into several somethings... I do stockings too. =P
BUT I buy stuff at Gordman's, TJ Maxx, and on clearance all year round and hoard it, then find it right before Christmas and go "oh yeah!" so they get some massively stuffed box of toys, haha. I bought some things just the other night at TJ Maxx for everybody in fact.

Remember once upon a time seeing something similar to the barkboxes on etsy. Group of etsy members would all contribute an item from their shops for dog sample boxes, of course now I can't find it.

Dogs are sadly, getting nothing this year, unless they get stuff off their wishlist from family members.

Every day of the year is Christmas for these bozos... twice on Sundays.

But I usually use Christmas as an excuse to do or get something bigger, like replace all the dog beds or something. I haven't decided what I'm going to do this year, yet.

You guys are supposed to tell me NOT to buy that ball! I've wanted to buy it for like the past 2 weeks now but have been able to control the urge lol. But I just know Christmas is going to be my excuse. It is a $30 ball!! Thank God I get a discount.
I tell you every time we work together to get the ball. You still haven't bought the ball!

Frodo seriously doesn't need anything. He gets crap ALL YEAR LONG! Since Whiskey has been here we have severely cut back on bully sticks/tracheas/other junk (solely because Frodo is a complete @ss and won't eat them because he's too busy guarding them from Whiskey who doesn't want them anyway!) and it's really made me realize how much money I waste on that crap all year when he is just FINE without them, lol. Now we keep one emergency bully stick in the house, and ocassionally I come home with a potato chew or something.

So I am planning on going to Dollar Tree and buying a couple stuffed animals that he can have a fantastic time unwrapping and then de-stuffing!

It seems really durable without being... dangerous. lol. It's made with like, that canvas-y type material that Kong Wubbas are made with. I've thought about just buying a cheap soccer ball instead but I like this material + it has the little groove indent things so that they can actually get a good hold on it!
jealous that you get discount. if i worked at a dog store i simply wouldnt have any money. the furry butts will be getting some treats and i will probably buy one big toy for them to share(i mean fight over) and some smaller toys individually.

My toy box is ridiculously full. Like ridiculous. The kennel outside stores a ridiculous amount of toys and agility equipment. And so is the cabinet for treats/grooming/health stuff. Like I have a whole cabinet...probably 4ftx3ft for dog 'stuff' other than toys. I have a hanger for collars and leashes that is bursting, and I have extras stashed away. Maybe some chew treats I could use...that's about it for this year. After Christmas is over I might do some leather collars for my three.

I get them a special chew/bone for xmas day. But I hit all the stores on Boxing day and pick up all the xmas toys and treats at a huge discount. The dogs get REALLY excited, they know all the stuff in those bags is theirs. We remove all the tags etc and bag them up again. Then we dump all the stuff on the floor at the same time and watch as the dogs pick through it, choose a toy and stash it in their crate, race back and get another one. They might do trades afterwards but not often.

Yup! I know mom is getting him a new dog bed, not sure what I want to get him. We usually buy one of those pre-made stockings that are cheap with like 12 toys in them. Not sure if there is anything I'd rather get him at the moment. I've been thinking of maybe replacing the toy he had that you can put plastic bottles in, since it can continually be made interesting, but I wonder if he'll just wreck it again lol.

Those Bark Boxes look really cool, and they ship to Canada as well! There's also a referral program for those already getting them. Bookmarked the site, I'm thinking that would make a really neat gift.

Not only do I buy the dogs Christmas gifts, but they reciprocate! They're fantastic at online ordering books, amazing how they seem to just "know" what books I want to read. They're so special, how could I forget them at Christmastime?

I'd love to get them new collars. I'm sick of buying Petsmart/pet store collars and being unsatisfied though. And I'm not sure I can quite afford an Ella's lead collar like I'm dreaming of lol! Depends how much it is when I get Chloe's teeth cleaned and have her spayed here pretty soon. I've been saving for that and if I have anything left over I will see. :D I may go with collar mania until I've saved more for Ella's lead.

The Barkboxes look interesting and I almost signed up for them last night. It's such a cool idea. I saw a lot of complaints, though, so I think I'm going to pass on it. If you signed up for them, let me know how they are!

My dogs have 2 toy boxes full of toys. It's insane. I usually buy them something a couple of times a month.

This year I'm getting them some new toys I think - I've been eyeing off some really neat tugs.

Last year I bought Abby some scent discrimination articles which of course she couldn't bring herself to get excited about at the time (lol had to train for that), but I did bake tuna fudge.

Grace, no matter what she gets, also gets a pig's ear. We wrap it the day before and place it under the tree. We've been doing this since she came home and she gets excited when we put the tree up and each time we add pressies. It's adorable.

Edit - atrocious spelling!

I'll do a video when I get my November box.

My Mom buys the dogs stuff. Some years they get stockings to 'open' too. I get cards 'from' my pups on most holidays.. I buy stuff for them all the time though.

We have 4 full toy baskets and a bin in the basement to switch in and out with..

The crestie rescues have secret santa for their fosters. I have a foster pup in the states to buy for so he has some stuff that is his when he goes to his new home.
