Totally scored a gift that I was looking all over for (for my SS!) for 2.99 at Home Goods. Retail is like $15-20 most places.

Shazam!
Also...16 rolls of poop bags for $5. SOLD!

Freaking love Home Goods.
That place is the reason why I have more dog shampoo than any person really needs.

ABCDistributing is another great website for deal surfing! They don't have nearly as much dog stuff, though. Sad face.

I love Hannah lol

Today we are dropping off a bunch of toys to a local charity that distributes them to Kids for Christmas who otherwise wouldn't get a Christmas. After the initial shock of "But I like this toy... can we keep it?" I explained to her that she was doing a really wonderful thing and told her that she was almost like Santa bringing toys to other kids who might not get anything else for Christmas. that they would wake up on Christmas morning and say "WOW Santa brought us presents" and this time YOU are Santa.

so in typical Hannah fashion she had to go right to her room and dress appropriately for the role.

So it took a little while for my new company to get me my employment agreement so they've pushed my start date back to December 3rd... but I already told the old place I was leaving... this leaves me unemployed for a week.
This is kinda sorta bad because that means I have a week I don't get paid, but it's not very much money I'm missing out on in that week AND... that's a FULL week I could be working at my house, day in and day out... so... yay? I think? LOL.

Anyway, employment agreement is signed and back and it's a done deal, I get a several thousand dollar a year raise right off the bat PLUS my health insurance is being provided with no out of pocket premium from me. Which is super rad.

YAY YAY YAY

I'll be in Toronto picking up my puppy December 14th-16th :D Just booked my flight! SO EXCITING!!

p.s: Anyone ever flown air canada? I am a die hard southwest/jet blue fan but tickets were much less pricey and it's only $50 to carry on a pet.

We are watching our homeschool co oPs production of Alice in Wonderland put on by the highschoolers and it is really good. REALLY well done. It is intermission right now but if the second half is half as good as the first, I can't wait to see it. Hannah is really enjoying it too and she ran into "alice" in the restroom and gave her a hug which Hannah thought was amazing LOL

My mom just handed me a bag with 5 pairs of jeans she picked up at a garage sale today.

THEY ALL FIT PERFECTLY LIKE THE MOST PERFECT FITTING GLOVE!!!

And they're brand new. Two still have the tags. They even look new because they're not the pre-faded type.

What a find Romy! What incredible luck that they all just happened to fit. That's so fun when something like that happens.

I love it when "not from the city" folk move in and remind us all how to interact :rofl1:
We have a new couple moved in on this floor and they came over to say hi and introduce themselves :rofl1:

They saw my 0.0 face and were like "..people in the city don't do this kind of stuff do they? Every door we knock on people has that same face"

:rofl1: :rofl1: only interaction I have with my neighbors is when I am hitting my broom against the walls/ceiling when they are making too much noise

Looks like Cody has probably found a wonderful home (yay Cody!!) so while that makes me a little sad that it's not with me, we're going to go ahead and get pre-approved through the rescue anyway. That way if they end up with another dog that would be perfect for us, we don't have to wait for all the other stuff like reference checks to go through.
