I'm sincerely wondering what these people are trying to escape by moving to Canada... We're everything they seem to hate about Obama.
I know... it always totally cracks me up.

And people complaining who didn't vote... meh. Voting is useless in so many states. If you know the other party will win, your vote doesn't count anyway. If they ever reform the system, then it will mean something (like, really, Obama is winning but Romney is winning the popular vote, I call that BS and I'm pro-Obama).

Happened when Bush beat Gore as well. Bush won the electoral college but not the popular vote.

I'm just meh. This election has been meh all around and I dislike both candidates. Dislike Obama more so that's... eh. Just feeling apathetic about the whole thing.

I do think it's BS (either way) that the president isn't chosen by popular vote though. The whole electoral college is just screwy.

Yeah at least I guess it makes up for it now.. kinda... still BS lol
Well I think the point is not so much revenge or making up for it as, we didn't care enough about it the last time it happened to fix it, so it is what it is.

All I have to say is that our Electoral College needs a big time revamp. Voting is some states is totally useless, mine being one of them.

All the votes haven't been counted yet. Obama may or may not win the popular vote and it's really close. The only reason it is known who won is because of the electoral college.

I'm "meh" - I was a staunch republican, but somewhere along the line the republicans lost their minds. Completely.

Good for you, Obama. *fist bump*

I'm just posting a lot now before I get banned or something... lol

I'm interested in the NY-NJ turnout. About 58-60% Obama, which is expected, but how many people didn't make it out to vote?

That seems about the only useful part of the electoral college. Use only in case of natural disaster.

My FB is already being overrun by people flailing and crying over it. *sigh*
Hehe, mine's teeming with celebrations. Clearly you have the wrong friends ;) I have not seen a single complaint status yet.

I'm pretty thrilled. I hate to think what the human rights scene would look like in 4 years if it had gone the other way.

I just wish my county would start reporting results some day.

Indeed. I'm an independent, but I usually have a good mix of both parties when I vote. This year there was only one republican I voted for, and that was for sheriff. Not something where political affiliation really plays much of a role lol.

Everyone on my FB is cheering their throats out. (Or typing their fingers off, I guess?)
Though it's still to be determined weather it's over the election results or the passing of Amendment 64. lol

Let's not forget that there were some other really important items being voted on in various states, too.

I was VERY happy to see Akin and Murdoch fall and this:
