I do believe it is contagious if you haven't had chicken pox. I'm not sure about the vaccination part though. My hubby had a mild case of shingles last winter and that's what we were told. Better safe than sorry though - check with your dr for sure!

Yeah, from what I understand the danger isn't in catching shingles as much as it is in catching chickenpox - which is much more dangerous to an unborn baby :(

Not only are some people more sensitive than others what is actualaly WRONG with a postpartum body of any sort? Be you the type to "bounce back" or you have some loose skin and stretch marks? Its apart of a journey and no one knows how their body is going to react and they are all beautiful.

On that note, anyone ever check out the website shape of a mother?

Lol really? Why would you put yourself through pregnancy only to look unattractive? Ummm.... how bout so you can have a kid? Family? That kind of thing?

I don't even have kids and am not sure I want kids but that was rude.

I find it interesting (not offensive because everyone has a right to their opinion) that based on one comment by me which was my opinion that I have a right to, ppl are so sensitive in this world these days that they feel they have to grab their torches & pitchforks very time someone says something they don't agree with.

Well this was hardly brought on by one comment. Between this thread and the breastfeeding thread you have made mre than enough comments about how disgusting you think mothers are

New mothers hear enough crap and have enough issues without hearing how ugly they are. Post Partum Depression is on the rise and instead of being there and SUPPORTING new moms others are tearing them down telling them they are ugly, OMG your so fat, go breastfeed in the bathroom and isolate yourself more!

Its sick.

You can disagree without being rude. No one cares if you don't want kids/don't like kids.

that's like going on someone's photo thread of their child and then proclaiming that they don't like children. Children are messy and loud, why would you have them?

Or if I post a thread about my shelties and people come in 'Ew, I hate shelties. They're so stupid and loud and skittish. Why would you want one of those? totally not worth it.'

Neither of those are disagreeing, they're being rude imo. I hate when people are rude and when they are countered they call out that they just 'disagree'.

Uh I want called out I was attacked lol for having a differing opinion.
I see pregger women at the store waddling around & I think "why do that to yourself?" It's seems so ... Unattractive lol (don't mean to be insensitive ... Just saying) also I she seen a lot of women after baby & it's not mug better ... No thanks, not worth it for me.
I think we're reading two different things.

Saying 'Oh I just have a different opinion than you' when you insult someone is a cop out imo.

I am not pregnant, I have no children, I check into this thread daily because I find it interesting - I just wanted to say, no one would have given a $&!@ if you hadn't come into a thread SPECIFICALLY made for CELEBRATING moms & babies and SUPPORTING what they are going through AND BEEN A COMPLETE DICK!!!!

I hope that doesn't get me banned but seriously?! Why go out of your way to be hurtful to people who were having a nice, friendly, educational discussion? :( I don't get it, it just isn't necessary :(

I still find it interesting that I only say one off comment over the course of a few posts that was obivously offensive I try to retract that comment realizing how insensitive it was.

Everyone tells me that I am the bad person when I only said one thing that I don't see the allure of pregnancy & ther are pages & pages of ppl attacking me for it & I am the bad one? Ganging up on me isn't going to make me back down I'm tough & stubborn & I stand by the right to an opinion that I don't think I should have to shut up about because I will offend someone? That infringes on my rights.

Say what you feel but I will also say what I feel too.

Whatever.

The problem is that it's not just this one thread where you are rude and insensitive, it's EVERY THREAD about pregnancy, being pregnant, ect.
