If you don't want cars anywhere near your kid, maybe you should skip the whole trick-or-treating thing. I was going 10 to 15mph and got a flashlight beamed into my eyes. I slowed to an almost stop to wait for you to move. You chose to just continue to stand on the side of the road while your kids were standing in the yard. I'm not going to stop indefinitely just because you want to stand in the road and chat.

Do not go 60 through a neighborhood at night on Halloween and almost hit a group of parents and kids. THEN get mad when we tell you to slow the hell down. BTW I hope the sheriff we gave your plates to finds you.

This.

our neighborhood doesn't have any street lights so it's especially DARK at night.

I realize kids shouldn't be running across the road willy nilly especially at night but COME ON when you know it's a night where kids are out trick or treating... don't speed through a residential area especially when there is no way you can see what is around the curve.

Push come to shove... you hit a kid, NO ONE is going to care that that kid was running out into the street if you were speeding, in the dark, on a night when you know kids will be out. You, the driver, will be at fault. is that something you are willing to deal with? (this "YOU" is to the jackass last night that was going at least 40 on a residential side street in pitch blackness)

this was a gated community and we were in a group on the edge of the road (there was no sidewalk) Bev was HOLDING MY HAND and he almost hit her.

He was tailgating DANGEROUSLY a group of kids in one of those Club Cadet things and a 4 wheeler as well to the point THEY had to speed up to try and get away from him.

It was a teenager.

Oh and a Pizza Hut delivery driver went through a 15 MPH zone at 30 and Jeremy called the area manager and reported her already because she was trying to argue with us as she flew past that she was going 20.

I was assaulted last night. Walking home from my friend's house, in the day time, and she lives MAYBE a 5-6 minute walk from me.
Scared the **** out of me.

Some good news; he was arrested last night after hitting a stop sign and taking it completely out of the ground, he was drunk. <<< That should be in the good news thread.

Also, Michael was drunk and 2 of his drunk friends were suppose to bring him home. Instead, they left Michael in the ditch, 3 houses down from me. Talk about PISSED THE **** OFF! I am ready to beat asses left and right, right now. Y'all do not understand how mad it makes me that they left him in a ditch in the middle of the night. I don't care if Michael was drunk or not, you do not leave someone in a DITCH IN FREEZING WEATHER.

Sorry, I'm done bitching.

You're **** right I'm not. Imagine if your husband/boyfriend's friends did that to him and let him lay there for at least 20 minutes before they even told anyone.

We've had sudden increase in the numbers of assholes who frequent our facility. One guy brought in a VERY matted Beardie and a VERY matted Tzu for boarding and then grooming right before pick up. We called to let them know that the dogs were very matted and if they did not want them clipped short, it would require us to reschedule their grooms when the groomer had LOTS more time. The wife, on the phone, said, "Oh, God, I'm sorry, I know they're a mess. It's been a while. We'll bring them back in after we get home."

The husband drops them off yesterday and says, "They were JUST at the groomer before I dropped them off for boarding! They weren't like this when I dropped them off, you guys got them so matted." ....Are you ****ing kidding me? They had an inch worth of growth out the bottom of their pads, your wife said they were "a mess," and you're REALLY gonna try to pull this crap???? Unbelievable.

Ok, THEN, we had a guy that like 3 weeks ago brought in VERY matted dogs that needed to be stripped down. Our groomer did it, guy picked the dogs up, everyone was happy (This was weeks ago). He comes back in a short while ago saying that, "Well I know they were really matted, but your groomer cut their ears and I had to take them to the vet. I think you need to pay the vet bill." Alright, so of course, were the dogs bleeding when they left? No, certainly not. (You guys know how ears bleed, it's not exactly a little bit of blood if an ear gets split.) We always keep records of that stuff and inform the owners, and it's been 10 years since our groomer cut an ear. There is just NO WAY we missed a nicked ear and sent the dog home gushing blood. The guy admits, "Well they didn't start to bleed until a while after I got them home." I press him. "Like... maybe a day or two."

So anyway, puzzled, I look at the date on the vet receipt he left me, and I look at our records of when his dogs were groomed. Yeah, you know what? The dogs were groomed a full TWO WEEKS before he took them to the vet. You're gonna tell me we did that? Bullshit. We called our vet that sees our daycare/boarding dogs should the need arise and she was like, "Um... no. The grooming probably revealed sores beneath the matting, which the dogs then shook until it created a hematoma that split, or they simply scratched open the already weak skin."

And then the icing on the cake? The lady who got her golden groomed and balked at the price we gave her, claiming that a local competitor only charges her $25 to get her Golden groomed. Um, nowhere in this area charges $25 for an adult Golden, sorry. So I go on the website of the competitor and Golden's start at $50 and go up based on coat condition. Do you think we're going to give you a discount if you make up a price from somewhere else?

I hear you, Emily. Some people do that in just about any situation. I got it in everything from printing to furniture sales. I learned to just smile and say, "you know, you should go there."

Day Four (I think) of essentially non sleeping kiddo. Thank heavens he has a doctor's appt this afternoon. Hopefully it's something easily remedied like and ear/throat infection or something.

Germany is so beautiful but so many of the local people are too afraid of getting dirty to have fun. I haven't met any one in our village who doesn't obsess about how clean and perfect their appearances are. I'm Leaving my boyfriend and taking the dog back to the US where I might find a man who can simply enjoy life. I can't wait till I am surrounded by people who are more laid back and less uptight. I love Germany and many Germans, but I just don't share the same (seemingly) superficial value system. I miss the States. >.<

I live in a somewhat shifty neighborhood in a nonlit neighborhood outside of town. At like 9:45 last night, someone thought it a great idea to pull the 'ring the doorbell and run off' game. They both woke up my kid, who then didn't want to sleep after that, and left my gate open. If you're going to be a jerkface, at least be a responsible one

They're extending our hours for Christmas and we're not allowed to request any days off for December at all... Even if its days we don't normally work anyways... Stupid.

Some of us were annoyed that we won't be getting home until closer to 10pm for most of the Christmas season and the manager was telling us it isn't that bad blah blah... Well she only works one closing shift a week.

Lips are cracking and super dry.

So I'm packing on the lip balm.

Causing the skin around my mouth to break out in blackheads and one particularly noticeable zit.

Yep. Winter is officially here.
