My computer has been acting a bit funky lately, and by "funky", I just mean freezing up and running a bit sluggish. So I first ran MalwareBytes, and it hadthe result of pum.hijack.startmenu. Ummm....what is that? It quarantined it, and I clicked to repair it (or whatever it does), but I'm wondering if that did the trick? Now I'm running a virus scan via AVG. Oh, and is that even the cause of the freezing and slowness issues?

Don't repair it. Get rid of it! And yes it can be the reason of weird computer behaviour. I would run malwarebytes again (that is a really good program) as most issues are malware vs viri.

You might need to run ComboFix (the God of fixing PC problems) lol, I don't remember the steps because it's been a while since my last PC.

Nevermind, I found this link: http:// www. techspot. com/community/topics/pum-hijack-start-menu-on-laptop.186423/

(just put it together, I don't know if posting outside links are allowed)
