So I just remembered something I played with all the time for YEARS as a kid. But I have no idea what they were actually called, and google is coming up short.
It was a big boxed set (I could fit in the box as a kid with my brother) and it was full of pool noodles. But they weren't exactly like pool noodles, they were different lengths probably from 1 ft to 4 ft or so and they were really stiff, but still bendable.
They had these white plastic connectors, all different kinds to connect them at different angles. It came with a manual to show you how to build stuff, from swords and hats, to castles and cars, out of them.
They were AWESOME. None of my friends ever had them...I don't know where they came from, I think it was that store Zainy-Brainy or whatever that went out of business. Did anyone else have them?
