I wanted to make the title sheep biters but neither of my girls even tried to nip the sheepies. Anyway, we took Mu and Tipper to do a herding instinct test today. It was really really fun. I'm considering taking Mu up once a week for classes (cause I need another hobby lol).

Here's the beginning of Mu's run.

And here's the rest of it - the guy was saying that the sheep can tell when they have a noob dog around they'll eventually just stop and stand still. And since Mu wasn't willing to face down a fuzzy thing on her first day we called it. :p

And this is actually the end of Tipper's run. She wasn't too into the sheep at first, she was going "PEOPLE! GRASS! MOM! FUZZY THINGS! OMGPEOPLE!!" But near the end she did seem to figure out what she was doing.

I have video of the beginning of Tipper's run but it's taking forever to upload so I'll post it later.

Mu looks like she had a blast!

You posted the end of Mu twice, so I couldn't see Tipper :p
Mu had SO much fun. And whoops! Fixed it. :p I'm glad you posted while I could still edit!

Here's the beginning of Tipper's, she is so freaking funny. I adore this dog.

They look like they're having so much fun!

Logan went herding yesterday at Woofstock, but it was kind of a let down. They had a TINY pen with three sheep and an in-heat BC constantly in with them. There wasn't room for a dog to run by any stretch. It was $20 for about 3 minutes of herding. All that said, Logan did show more interest in the sheep than in the BC, but with no room to move it was more "Please, kind sheep, move that-a-way" *follows politely behind sheep*

I need to find a place where we can do some REAL herding.

It was a blast - and it was fascinating to watch how all the different dogs responded to the sheep. That Woofstock thing sounds awful! I hope you can find a better place to go. I've been looking for over a year and the only thing I could find were breed specific tests. :|

She was so funny! After I okayed her to go get them she was completely into it.
