I've never let Jackson off the long line before at a place like this.... lots of temptation to walk through the brush/woods for him. Like I've said before, 90% of the time he'd be fine off leash, but there's that 10% where I just don't trust him not to catch a whiff of something and take off.

But OMG he did perfect. I am so proud of him. And myself for being brave. Ha! He tried a few times to sneak off into the wooded area, and I would tell him "ah, get back here!" and gave him a treat (I brought high value cheese lol). And yup he did excellent. So at almost 4 years old, I think he's becoming more reliable. He's never been one to dart at all, and I can easily drop his leash in most places, etc, but yeah at a NEW place and beach and new smells...

Anyways I am rambling. But so proud. PICTURES.

Jackson and my aunt's 12 year old Pittie, Max. Yes he's getting kind of fat, and he also has a bunch of fatty tumor-looking things on him. The last time she took him to the vet he said they weren't concerning, but he's got a LOT now... kind of worries me.

Only my dummy would get two huge burrs stuck in his facial hair within the 5 minutes of being there... *sigh* they were a *!&*% to get out... we had to cut what we couldn't comb fully out.

Cute butts.

FREEEEEDOM!

Ahhh his love. Water.

Oh, and some photos I snapped the other day in the back yard. (in the process of growing out his bangs from the visor cut the groomer gave, lol, so excuse his hair in his eyes)

the end.

Great pics, he looks like he's having fun. Also, a silicone spray can be used to ease out burs. When I used to go hiking with a friend and his poodle he used a silicone spray to get all the burrs and what not out.

Jackson makes me miss some of the Yorkies from the shop I worked at in Texas. I never knew I could appreciate the breed, but I liked a lot of my Yorkie regulars. Great pics. :)

Jackson always has the best expression. He looks so serious (when he's not displaying his WHEEEEEEE face) that I can't help but laugh. I would love Jackson in person :)

And I would love Trent! Speaking of.... my uncles GSD is turning into such a gorgeous girl, she always reminds me a bit of Trent. She just turned 1 recently and Jackson now seems to enjoy her more, now that she's matured a bit and isn't so mouthy and swatting her large paws on his head, LOL...

Rather than starting a new thread, I'll post here... isn't she gorgeous??

It wouldn't be a Jackson thread without his "WEEEEE" running towards you face. Also love love LOVE his head tilt pictures.

LOL, I know right. He can be soooo serious and then just be flat out goofy.

I am in LOVE with Jackson- he looks like such a fun boy! They both look like they had a blast playing at the beach! :D
