I second that!!!! He's going to be a BEAST when he starts competing!
Thank you guys, it has been a long, long and doubtful road but I think we're starting to figure some of this stuff out. LOL

Better yet our relationship is getting much better since we've focused more on agility and I've handed the obedience over to Denis.

I commented on Youtube but she looks fantastic!! (I'm falling in love with your dogs)
Awww thanks!!! They are totally fun to be around and work with. Though not a lot of people think that LOL. I'm just trying to get her as prepared for her debut in October as possible.

I am getting itchy for another agility dog, though LOL. I'm wondering if I should start trying Pentti with some stuff in the yard and see how he goes...

Man, I don't think I'm skilled enough right now to run more than one. I say that knowing I am running both of mine. LOL However, Sloan has taken the backburner for a while with obed and other things. It's for the best because she and Backup handle so differently and I really screwed her for a bit trying to handle both of them the same way.

I must brag too...

Yeah, that was around the ring while we ran plus two barking resident dogs. :) goo'boy!

Yeah, I'm probably not skilled enough for sure. But I just want to teach things like weaves and contacts some more because I love working that stuff LOL. So maybe I will just experiment with Pen in the yard for the fun of it :p

Oh that part I totally get, I even re-taught Arnolds weaves lately. He knew baited weaves years ago (like 6, he's 8 now) but I've been reteaching 2x2s just for fun.

I have to cheerlead him but it's fun none the less. :)

(I was almost tempted to train Shamoo but she laughed at me and bit me demanding treats for being plain awesome)

I kinda love Backup a lot, LOL.
This is totally my fave thread ever on Chaz. I love seeing all these videos and seeing dogs progress too.

Thanks all, it's been a struggle and it's very nice and encouraging to have a support system here.

Sloan is back at it recently as well. She's a bit sloppy but nothing unfixable. We really, really, need to get her weave entrances back though.

My phone died half way through this run but it's a start.

ETA:

A full run of Backup. We had some hiccups, he's not really ready for a full course, and I was barefoot and tired from packing, but we had some moments of beauty. You can see how he gets worked up but this is so much for controlled than it once was.

The Mals are looking really good!

I would tend to agree Backup might not be ready for a full course since you seem to want to correct him a lot. Some of the obstacles look very tightly spaced and on a more slippery surface, I think that is lending to the bar knocking too. But wow! has he come such a long way! Glad to see Sloan is back into it too :)

Thanks, yeah, this is the first (and only) attempt at a full course to just see. The surface sucks. :(

The bar knocking is better than it used to be but I guess I should just keep up with jumping exercises, he used to jump through bars with no collection so I try not to stress a few bars when asked for something this complicated.

That weave entrance was pretty hard for him and somewhat unfair to ask but he tried and I was thrilled with that.

His bailing off the table is something I'm comfortable correcting, knowing him he needs that boundary.

We went back to short sequences and exercises and video'd with a friends phone because mine died again after this. I'll share those when I get them.

Rubber matting is the surface of choice in this area :/ I can see a lot of improvement with him though in all areas, including the jumping and most definitely his ability to follow your cues. His contacts are looking good too!

Izzie earned her AADC title this morning with a beautiful run! Will update more later.
Yay! Congratulations!

Third day of messing around with weave poles again. Brought the 2x2s back out instead of the WAMs, I started seeing where it was going to be better for him to open a gate rather than widening out a WAM channel. I'm glad I own both. Kinda makes me feel like I have a full toolbox.
