I have moved before several times but this will be the biggest move I'll be totally responsible for.

I'm really glad I have help though, really.

Could someone tell Moo boxes aren't toys?

Oh... Color me wrong...

Meanwhile, I packed 3 bathroom boxes. lol

We've decided the best option will be packing a truck and having Denis drive up everything and put it in Oregon storage while he looks for a place from my brothers couch and I stay here with basically only the camping essentials that I can fit in the Prius with 4 dogs to finish out work and be sure the house is set up for renting.

Denis' start date is October 1 so between work and training (I want to get in as much as possible before I lose access to my facility) I need to control these nerds and pack up a house in less than 2 weeks.

I suppose I always have Arnold.

Oh gosh, I'm so excited for you! I love the box fort hahaha.
Packing with dogs IS fun LOL. Somebody asked me if my dogs were getting distressed that all of my stuff was slowly disappearing... nope. Payton keeps trying to help in fact. "Here is a sheep toy. It should go in the box. Here is a ball. It should go in the box. Here's a tug toy. It should go in the box. Here's Georgie. She should go in the box."

Good luck!!! Gonna be a crazy month!

And yeah Kim & Mira would pack stuff too. Opened so many boxes post-move only to find a stuffie or antler tucked in amongst household goods. I know WE didn't pack the purple fuzzy squeaker turtle in with the cookie trays. Just sayin'.

Webster and Brie would just try to move into the boxes and bags. It's a miracle that we didn't tape Brie into a box.

I'm in the suburbs right outside of Portland! About 15 or 20 minutes from downtown. Let's hope Portland is ready for your crew :D

You're right on time for the last bout of "summer weather" (high 70s to 80s... LOL), and then get ready for 50 - 70 degree weather  I was on a cruise in the Caribbeans for about a week, and immediately decided that 95 degrees and up is NOT my happy place.

Poor Portland, I think Vegas is breathing a sigh of relief. :p

We'll have to meet up!

Im definitely not great with super cold but I'll take it with the other benefits. I'm also getting worse and worse with extreme heats so maybe I'll learn to enjoy the cold more. I better, lol, this is our Alaska(where Denis is from and loves)-Las Vegas(where we met) compromise.

Summers in Alaska, weather wise, reminds me of overcast Oregon days. Winters probably aren't so similar - in this area of Oregon you can never count on snow.... and if it does happen, it usually snows during some random March afternoon :p Even 1/2 an inch is enough of a catastrophe that all of Portland shuts down :lol-sign:

Poor little hipster town of Portland. If 1/2 inch of snow can knock it down, I'll watch the damage from afar as your whirlwind of a pack takes over.

HEY BUT YOU CAN GO TO THE BEACH ON NICE DAYS /randomthought

I'd definitely love to meet up! Would be so cool to meet you and the dogs. Also, DVG Nationals should be held in Salem next year in June, and I'll definitely be there to watch. I know Red Chrome is occasionally in the area, so hoping she'll think about going, too!

Yeah, imagine rain here or worse the snow. People would swear the zombies were rising. lol

We'll definitely try for DVG, Sloan is ready for her APR1 and Backup needs his BH (but is ready for the 1 as well). We were going to try for nov/ dec here but plans have changed, we'll see what pops up.

We had a lot of plans this winter(dog stuff dies over summer here) but we can remake those plans!

Does Denis' new job not cover relocation expenses? When we moved for DH's job we ended up getting a moving company - it was sooo nice to just supervise instead of having to pack and figure out how to get everything in a truck, not to mention driving a truck that far. :p For our move I think it cost about $1200 total, but DH's job picked up all the expenses.

Whoa! I missed this! I guess I was so stuck in selfish-new-puppy-land. You're going, for real! No, you'll now be too far away, I wanted to come see you this fall. :(

OTOH, I am envious. Grass. Green trees. Streams. Sigh. I will come visit when you get settled.

PS- Do NOT, no matter WHAT they tell you, let the Malinois help pack.

:rofl1: No, what you're being is stingy with puppy photos!

You'll totally have to visit!
