Yosemite visits Kobe

My favorite picture lol.










Just some long overdue pictures to share!

Kobe got sick during our trip. This trip was a few months ago. The back of his head had to get shaved for a spinal tap. In interest of his self-respect, I held off until his fur is a bit more grown before taking a picture of him.

So here's some of him just now. In terrible need of grooming, I know. He has an appointment tomorrow.

Yep, he is all better. We never found out what was wrong, but whatever it was, steriods seems to have gotten rid of it.

Wasn't there an incidence of hanta virus at Yosemite? Wonder if that's what it was. Poor guy. He looks like he weathered it well, though, whatever it was

I looked up the Hanta virus, and it definitely wasn't it.

He had a large bump in his throat that swelled up fairly bad. The whole area was swollen, but the lump was about the size of a marble. He could not turn or move his neck without screaming in pain. I originally thought it might be a rattlesnake bite, but we never found any bite marks.

Ticks were ruled out, and a couple other things that I can't remember off hand. We were about to do a CT scan when he started showing improvement from steroids. Since the CT scan would cost $2000 and he was getting better, I decided not to do the scan.

He had a high fever for most of this. But he's about 700% recovered and 1000% fluffy now

Finkie, he was groomed between the pictures on the second post and the one I just put up the other day.

He is just so handsome. I am glad to hear that he is 700% better now.
