Ok.. So show puppy has been picked (tiger striped - blue I think he was without looking). So we have purple spots, bumble bee and orange spots to decide between!!

I think we're going to try and visit them this week and decide.

We want a nice middle of the road personality - not too timid and not too manic! Just a nice, laid back puppy! Is there anything we should be looking out for/asking about?!!

Eeeeeeeeeee! We should know who is ours soon!

If we were picking purely on looks, I have to say I have had a soft spot for orange since day one, but the other half likes bumble bee..!! Hard decisions to be made!

I tend to like to see which pup is most interested in me. There's always been something that just clicked.

They're all great looking puppies, so I don't think you can go wrong.

My best advice is to follow your heart and instincts :)

I love the look of Mr Bumblebee :)

I would ask the breeder about them... who is the most mellow? Who is the most pushy? Who is the most adventurous? They have been observing them since day one they can tell you stories about each puppy to help you.

Spend some time observing them together and with each pup alone.

I had liked purple pup now orange is catching my eye.

When we went to pick with Byron I did not get my first pick. But the breeder picked my bubbie and he is the best dog I could ever ask for. So play with them and if one does not scream "me me me!" ask the breeder.

Definitely talk to the breeder... apart from that, I'd recommend a puppy that is outgoing, confident away from its litter mates, in new surroundings, with loud noises etc. Confident doesn't = high energy or driven or crazy. Strong nerves coupled with proper socialization makes for the kind of dog is at ease in new situations, is less likely to get weirdly anxious about normal things, etc.

Of course maybe the most confident puppy is also an enormous brat or crazily energetic, so definitely talk to the breeder :)

Definitely meet them first. :) We knew instantly with Violet. There was another one I really liked too, but it had to be Violet. She was the only grey one, and so was Holly when we picked her. It was meant to be.

I would talk to the breeder lol I am a fan of letting the breeder make the decision 100% IMO.. it's so hard to choose even when you are there, because you are kind of HOPING that the way they are at that moment is the way they are MOST of the time.. which isn't always the case. (Like, that calm puppy sleeping in the corner might just be like that at the moment because he had been raising hell all afternoon and needed a nap lol)

I would see how the puppies play with each other, how willing they are to leave the group to come to you, how interested they are in toys/food etc.. and try to play with each puppy away from the group (I've seen pups that are a certain way with their litter mates but very different all by themselves)
