My answer is complicated. lol. I was born in North Miami Beach, which is ~250 miles from me. However, I only lived there for 5 months... my "home town" would be considered Boston, which is where 90% of my family live.

So, I'm about 1300 miles from my technical "home town" lol.

I grew up in BC, after I graduated I moved to Calgary for work which is 345 miles away from my hometown according to Mapquest. 6 years later I moved to Ontario, so I am now almost on the other side of the country, 2500 miles away. I do want to eventually move back to BC though. Its in our 5-10 year plan lol.

Well, leaving out the banana bread, and adding the pairs which go together....(within 50 miles, and farther than) we are at a tie for the moment!

I'm starting to think the article I read might have actually been founded in truth! lol

1850 miles :( I really, REALLY miss my home state. I intend to move back as soon as possible. I actually wanted to be back a couple years ago, but it hasn't worked out yet.

Barring that, or maybe several years after that, I'd love to move to the UK, ideally Scotland or possibly Wales. Assuming that I like it there when I visit, of course.

Close enough that I can drive there and back in a day; far enough that it's not particularly convenient to do so.

Well over 50 miles.

I was born in VA, but we moved to CT when I still very young (infant). I lived in CT for 30 yrs, went to school here, etc.. But I never felt like I was home there. Whenever I visited VA, something always seemed to relax in me, so I moved back to VA and left my family and friends in CT. So which is technically my hometown? My birthplace?

I was born in Chicago, IL but only lived there til I was 4, my "hometown" is outside of Philadelphia, PA... now I live in southern California, so pretty far. No intentions of moving back east...
