My maternal grandmother's name was Constance, nick name, Connie. Actually, there were/are 3 family members with that name. It's not really unusual, just don't hear it much these days. My paternal grandmother's name was Bertha. She was German...not really crazy about that name, was crazy about her though. I do like the name, Constance. My mom's name is Alice. I love that. Maybe that will make a come back.

Another name I think is so cute is ivy. So, what do you think about all that?
Clive's cousin, who is 2 1/2 I think, is named Alice :)

My name is Ashley Marie...can't get much more common than that ;) There were often 3 other Ashleys in my classes.

Now most people call me Ash, Ashlynn or Ashes, which is cool with me.

My sister's name is Monica Star, which I love.

A few of my favorites are Wyatt, Elliott, Delaney, Addison or names with special meanings or connections.

HI Ya. I am glad you asked.
One thing is for sure, it is easy for the babies to say and they love her, and I think they love saying her name.

My name is Victoria Marie but I go by Tori .. my mum never liked 'Vicky' so when I was little she always insisted that people call me Tori. I like my name and don't mind that it's fairly common. I do find as I get older I go by Victoria more and more though.

Victoria was after my grandfather's sister and Marie was a combination of my grandmother's names, Marilyn and Mary. I like that my name has a family connection.

There have never been other Victorias or Toris in my class at school.

My friend named her daughter Marlowe Victoria which I think is beautiful (and not just because I'm partial to Victoria :p ).

That happened with my name too - when I was a kid I had a million nicknames but as I've gotten older people just call me Caitlin. I liked my nicknames. :(

I run into the pronunciation problem all the time though. What's your name? Caitlin. Caylin? No, Caitlin. Cat-lin? No, Caitlin. Oh, hi Kayla!

/shrug. The bus driver here at work has been calling me Kayla for the last three years. I thought he was just slurring at first and by the time I realized what he was saying it would have been really awkward to correct him. So I've just let it go for the last....three years or so. Lol.

My name is seriously uncommon around here at least. It's Irish. Prounounced Fail-in. Spelled Falon. I used to hate it and went through a phase where I wanted everyone to call me by some variation of my middle name (Elizabeth). With the exception of my best friend at the time, that did not happen.

My fiance is Chinese and I will be taking his last name and so will our kids some day. So, I want Irish/Gaelic names if I can for them.

They have twins: a Lily and an Alice :)
Lily is so cute. It's really got a nice sound to it. I like Iris too. But Ivy is super duper cute, I think. Gosh, you can name a child after a flower or a month...lots of things. lol. June, April (we had a cat named April) I think that's cute too. :)

Oh, I almost forgot. My own sister's name is Gretchen. Nobody names their girls Gretchen. I hardly ever hear it. And I love it. A good German name. Or how 'bout Gretta? Cute, huh.

That's happened to me too. My old boss thought that my name was Elizabeth. He must have gotten the queens' names confused (I'm Victoria). I corrected him a couple times but it was such a busy place and he must have forgotten .. and he kept calling me Elizabeth. Eventually I just started responding. :p

There was a joke about calling this baby Ruthless if it ends up being a girl. Ruth for short.
