Do you still own any?

My barbies and my little ponies. They are still at my dads house. My neices play with them when they visit. He's coming down here next weekend and bringing some for Hannah. Care bears... i still have my entire care bear collection. Mr Moose. He was a Gund. Our librarian at school had one and he was a big puppet and I just fell in love with him. I know he cost my parents quite a bit of money but I got him for Christmas when I was 8 years old and I still have him and now he's Hannahs.

I have A LOT of my old toys from when I was a kid. I'm very sentimental lol so I keep a lot of "stuff" that hold special memories.

One of my favorites though that I wish I still had was my Teddy Ruxpin. He came with books and tapes and you put the tape in and he would read the book while you followed along. He broke and I was heartbroken like my best friend died. My mom sent him to be fixed and when he came back the repairman put a bandaid on his forehead lol.

Mostly I had stuffed/plush animals... mostly dogs. I also liked playing with realistic looking horse toys (some were plush, some were plastic). I still have a few favourite stuffies, but not very many. I got rid of most of them because I hate clutter and didn't want to have to constantly move them and find places to keep them. It was hard, though. I wanted to keep them all, eventhough all they did was sit in a box in the closet!

Legos, little pony, barbies mostly (I remember playmobil and strawberry shortcake too). All my mom has left is a bucket of duplos though... sadly.

The My Little Ponies, my huge Littlest Pet Shop collection (and it's still huge even though I sold off a ton of them a few years back), and the most important was my Pound Puppy. If I could only pick one THING in my house to keep, it would be my Pound Puppy. I decided a little over a year ago it was time to retire him from being snuggled in my bed... he is definitely "real" so I decided rather than have him literally fall apart on me, I was going to put him on a shelf and prevent him from any more wear. So I put him on a shelf, and then immediately burst into tears and had to take him back off the shelf and hug him. Totally irrational LOL. But it was like I was saying goodbye even though he was just going to be sitting on a shelf instead of laying on my bed. It took me a few minutes to be able to put him back on the shelf and leave him there. =P

We have an almost complete Care Bear collection too. My sister came and took all those since most of them were really hers, except Tenderheart Bear who was mine and my Care Bear cousins (Swift Heart rabbit and Baby Swift Heart.) Oh, I also bought the lamb cousin a few years ago, I kept it obviously since it was both mine and it's a sheep. ;P

LOL, I loved this thing.. skip thingy, it counted the number of skips you did.

Giga pet or digipet or something? loved this too.

I LOVED rollerblading. I know this isn't a toy but I rollerbladed every day of my life for like 3 years lol.

Beanie Babies!!

Super Nintendo. Super mario bros. <3 Oh and I was sooo happy when I got my Gameboy COLOR ...

Collected pogs and pokemon for a while there...

I had Samantha, the American Girl doll.

I also loved playing with anything dog-related lol. I had quite a few plastic dog figurines, and 101 Dalmatians toys.

Yup. Child of the '90s.

We didn't have a lot of the fancy stuff there is now at the time. Although I have to say, the new toys disappoint me a lot. The new little ponies are not as cute and come with a ton of small accessories, and polly pockets don't come with those cute little rooms like they used to... It was the whole point! Barbies are about the same but it's much harder to find furniture for them now it seems, and it's more cheap than it used to be. I was looking not too long ago and you can't find the living room, dining room etc anymore (setting up the tables for my Barbies was huge, lol).

I was very disappointed when I looked at that stuff for Lisa.

And they stopped making pound puppies, didn't they? It's sad. My sister had one. it was cute, lol.

The toy I really wanted as a kid and never got was a cabbage patch doll, so needless to say it's the first thing I bought for Lisa...

As a kid I was rarely inside, so my bike or big wheel were the best things I had as a kid. I was never a barbie or my little pony girl...for the rare times I was inside I always had G.I. Joe and Transformers. I still have all of them. Those along with my NES and softball equipment was pretty much all I needed. One other toy that comes to mind is merlin, it was a red phone looking toy, that had games on it.

Oh yeah, I used to love my sit-n-spin :)

I spent most of my time with the dogs, books, my violin, or on a bike. I did (and still do, packed up) have an array of Barbies and clothes, mostly made by my mother since she loved to make fancy clothes -- she'd rather have made baby doll clothes but I didn't want baby dolls and my sister didn't really play with dolls much at all. I had to keep the clothes in a small suitcase, lol.

And doll houses, a huge Barbie sized one that was supposed to have been a wall of bookshelves and several smaller scale ones. We made a lot of the furniture and used gift wrap and sheets from old wallpaper sample books to do the walls. We had a neighbor who worked for Sears and he'd bring me boxes of broken costume jewelry that I'd use to make things like chandeliers and lamps, legs for sofas . . . I think quite a bit of it is still packed up in boxes in one of the big bedroom closets.

Lincoln Logs

Original My Little Ponies. I saved them for Aurelia.

Glow Bugs!!! I had to go on ebay and find a set for my kids. For some reason they don't make glow in the dark plastic toys anymore. My older brothers used to hold mine against the lamp while I brushed my teeth so they'd be charged up for bed.

Lastly, popples.

ETA: and can't forget the he-man and ninja turtle action figures. Woo!

OH I loved glow worms and popples. I'm surprised I never kept any of those lol. specifically that little glow worm in the picture with the pink pajamas and blue cap. I don't know why but I took a special liking to that one lol.

Beanie... I know what you mean. I still sleep with a stuffed animal and I remember our old dog teddy chewed up one of the stuffies I slept with and I had to go buy a new one and I felt such a huge amount of guilt for sleeping with a new stuffy lol.

Hannah has a dozen or more stuffed animals in her bed. A friend of mine made a comment that her daughter wanted all her stuffies in bed but she would not allow it and would only let her pick two. I told her my reasoning for letting Hannah have all her stuffies in her bed was because when I was a child and I had to choose between my stuffies I would sometimes cry myself to sleep because I thought my other stuffies would think I didn't love them anymore lol and that I still feel guilty when I choose one stuffy over another lol. I think she thought I was a little touched in the head lol.

I had totally forgotten about glow bugs!

I had two popples, they're probably in a box in France somewhere...

Cardboard boxes - the local grocery store would let us take empty boxes home, where we'd turn them into castles, caves, puppet theatres, cars or planes; or cut them up to make swords and shields. I made a horse for myself once - cut out the head and neck (colored him like Robert E. Lee's Traveller), used string for reins, attached it to the top of the bed post and used my pillow for a saddle on the head board.

Big boxes went outside so we could roll in them down the hills. When they fell apart, they became sliding boards.
