I know there are a few of us out here :) figured I'd get us all together in a thread to share our running goodies lol

what is a goodie you ask? well, frankly, anything! Lol favorite running trail, season, iphone/music player/phone app, running song, shoes, water bottles..

I'll start. I am IN LOVE WITH ZOMBIE RUN. It gets your music in with a really cool zombie game where you run around, gathering objects, being chased, all through this "world" connected to your own through your headset (no looking down at your device)
really awesome https://www.zombiesrungame.com/

Current favorite song.
For the angry/badass run: Cobrastyles by the Teddybears

happy run: Jonsi Sticks &s stones (you might recognize from how to train your dragon)

I bought these at a running store near STL a few years ago:

They are amazing. They don't hurt my ears, they don't fall out even if I'm running in the rain, sweating doesn't make them slick enough to fall out. They just plain stay put. They no longer sell the model I bought now (you have to buy headphones with them now, mine were just the plastic buds I put on my own iPod headphones) so they are a little more expensive these days, but I don't regret what I paid for them, and I would definitely pay the $30 for the basic set they have now again.

iPod shuffle is my running buddy. It's small and light and all I dump on it are my running songs.

This goes with me on a long run (or short hot runs.) It's pretty easy to forget you're "carrying" it.

My SkullCandy earbuds seem to stay in place for the most part, except when I accidentally yank on the cord. I need to get a Shuffle, because my phone is just rather unwieldy. Although I do enjoy being able to snap pics on the trail.

I've got a mix of Glitch Mob and then just random heavy rock-beat stuff to run to; every so often though, Moonlight Sonata will come up and it just throws off everything.

I'm in dire need of new running shoes, but it's going to start to be cold, snowy/ice and generally less fun in the mornings. Recommendations?

Rage is my favorite running buddy, I love the horse trails around here and there is one stretch of road where I know exactly what a mile is, which is nice. I take my iPhone & listen to social distortion radio on pandora :) I also like the C25K app.

Also, I need running shoes soon as well. Has anyone tried the new balance minimus?

These...

...and my iPod Touch with C25K app and loaded with running music.

A few of my recently added choice tracks:

Portal 2 - Science is Fun
Coldplay - Fix You (I blame Ben Does Life)
Kevin Gillis - Run With Us (yes, from The Raccoons)
Mumford & Sons - The Cave
Birdy & Mumford & Sons - Learn Me Right

My running gear is hopelessly simplified, but then I'm only an on-and-off C25K-er.

For music, I tend to put my own mixes together or throw stuff on the Shuffle and let it rip, but I LOVE this website and their mixes:

PlottMom, I haven't tried the Minimus yet but I had my eye on it when I started shifting into more low profile running shoes... I've heard good things about it. I love New Balance as a brand even though I've never bought any myself, I know lots of people who run in them and they are quality shoes. Make sure you get the one rated for trail running if most of your running is on trails!

Oh yeah, and these are my favourite running socks!

(Yes I have favourite running socks, so what.)

Thanks - I think maybe that's what I'll try next. I've only ever run in new balances, so they appealed to me as soon as I saw the commercial lol
