Went on another long overdue trip to the coast, but unfortunately picked just about the worst day to go! The winds were so strong that our ear drums physically hurt and the sand being whipped up against our legs ended up being tough to bear, too. We stayed about a total of 30 minutes before deciding to go.

Needless to say, Trent was displeased. He didn't care about the weather, he was having too much fun digging and playing.

Apologies in advance for the pictures, I had the camera covered and didn't want to take it out to change settings. Didn't bother changing lenses, either, because the sand was literally getting everywhere, so these are all with the 50mm.

Onto the pictures!

How windy was it? I was worried that his tongue would get blown away by the wind!

Trent is unconcerned and moves on to his favorite activity

Nevermind the tongue, HE LOST AN EAR

Oh, found it. My favorite picture of the day

Also, my dog is much more agile than I give him credit for. This wall is extremely sandy and has quite a flat surface. I asked him to jump up to humor me and he surprisingly managed to do so and stay in that position until I released him.

Some more climbing and posing

Thanks for looking!

Thank you! :)

TRENT <3

He is so freaking pretty. I love him (ears or no ears!)
Thanks!! LOL I appreciate the sentiment, because when his ear went down I was hollering the whole time "WELL THAT'S SWELL. You've ruined ALL the pictures now. Hope you're proud!"

(and he was. Very, very proud. It took a couple of minutes of shaking before the ear went back up again)

He is SUCH a gorgeous dog! <3
Thank you! Doesn't hurt that he just LOVES the camera, too :p

He is gorgeous, and what an amazing beach you guys have to play on! :)
Thanks! The beaches along the Oregon coast are incredibly gorgeous, and we never encounter crowds, either. Can't wait to head back again!

I am pretty sure that Trent is the most handsome boy ever :)

Great pictures!
Thank you! He's not bad... when, you know, HIS EARS ARE BOTH STANDING :rofl1:

I heart him, such a beautiful boy! Lily loves digging in the sand too, lol.
Thanks! I think he's a pretty good dog, too :D

Luckily for us his love for digging is just limited to the sand on the beach, so we let him at it. Don't know what that's about (you'd think getting a face full of sand wouldn't be soooooo fuuuuun), but he thinks it's the Coolest Thing Ever.

He is a good looking dog.
Thank you! I think so, too.

He is handsome! I love how the sand in motion got photographed.
Thanks! By the way, it's nice to see you on Chaz. I remember your posts from a while back on the German Shepherd boards.

Awesome shots! Especially the swirly sand. I wish we had a beach here.
Thank you :)

Holy crow, I cannot imagine having a heat wave like yours and NOT having a beach to go to. But Oregon's going crazy, too... 100+ this Thursday :yikes: I'm going to go hide in the freezer with Trent.

Mia and Summer would have such a blast at the beach. Come move to Oregon :D
