Or neither?

I figured this needed to be posted seeing as how the election is in a few months...and it's a huge topic that can't just be avoided. Lol. I'm all over my Facebook about it, figured a good discussion with the members of Chaz wouldn't hurt.

So, if you vote, who are you voting for? Even if you don't vote, who would you vote for? Why?

Let's try to keep this civil as well, please. No need to get nasty... I kind of want this thread to be productive and not get locked. Lol. Thanks!

They usually don't get locked they just die lol.

But to be totally honest I don't vote on presidential elections. I don't really support either group and it's just kind of a waste of gas for me to go vote when my I already know my state is Republican. If I vote for them I guess it's cool but if I vote against them doesn't really matter since my reps that are part of the electoral college will just cancel out my vote.

I usually only vote on stuff that will affect my county/town.

I don't know who I will vote for yet. I don't subscribe to either party--proudly independent!

Frankly I don't trust Romney. I usually don't trust any politician, but he is a special case-even if he does have an awesome dressage horse. On the other hand, there are things that Obama has done/failed to do that I have not cared for at all.

The addition of Ryan doesn't really change my feelings on the subject. Honestly I probably won't decide until a few weeks before the election.

I'm voting for Obama.
For plenty of reasons.. I am a woman, a student, someone who believes in equal rights and someone who thinks it's the right choice. I like the changes I have seen so far and hope he wins

Oh and this

but, not here to fight in this thread.
I am making the choice I believe is right because I did the research and am happy with my decision.

and with that. I'm out. I really do not want to fight lol I'm having such a nice evening.

Fran, that's the same photo I have posted on my wall. :)

I'm voting for Obama as well. I align with him on about 80% of all issues. I believe he truly cares about the people, and has done well with the crashing freight train handed to him by Bush.

And, I just couldn't vote for Romney. I can't stand him and his Vice President pick, Paul Ryan, is worse than him. It's like McCain and Palin all over again.

... can I just vote for Ron Paul?
Let's do it :D

I know I won't be voting Obama, nor did I last time. I don't think he's the devil or a horrid person, but his values and priorities are not mine.

I haven't looked into Ryan enough yet to say for sure I'm happy with that side of the ticket.

Still pissed I'm missing voting by only a few months.
I would definitely be voting for Obama. While I agree on his stance for numerous things, health care is a big thing for me. My life pretty much revolves around health care and without it I wouldn't be where I am today.

I don't like either. At all.

I don't know what to do *sigh*
This x3

I'm so at a loss... Can't stand either of them and not a fan of the whole "vote for the lesser evil" clause and honestly with our choices I can't really even decide right now who that lesser evil would even be.

Last election I ran into the same thing and I didn't end up voting. Had a TON of stuff to do that day at work anyway so I wouldn't have had the free time and I still had no clue at that point who to vote for.

This. Beyond many subjects, such as his stance on gay marriage and the act of pulling our troops out, the pure act of health care is essential to our family.

I'll likely vote Obama as I do see him as the lesser of two evils. According to several tests/quizzes, my politics more closely align with the Green Party candidate, but I won't vote for hopeless causes, especially when I'm so worried about the implications of the greater of two evils.
