I'm already doing abit of mental Autumn/Winter shopping - and while I don't have the money for it now I may next month.

Any thoughts on this?

I have a smaller one in pink already - but wanted something a little more neutral in tone. The quality of these are amazing - they don't pill, pick up odors, or get itchy against skin. I've had my pink one for ages and it still looks new.

Or this? -
This one sort of looks nice too - I kinda like the fringe thing it has going on

I prefer the first one, and I do like it. The second one is nice too, but I'd get the first one just because it's such a clean, classy look. (also I understand paying for quality but 800 dollars for the second scarf? eek)

Yikes...$$$....

They're both pretty, though. I like the checked one better, while I think the blue one has a little too much going on (and doesn't look like it would be very versatile if you wanted to wear it a different way).

My opinion is that there is no way on this earth i would ever spend that much money on a scarf!!!!

But I prefer the 2nd one.

But I still wouldn't buy it, they both look cheap to me... I have tons of scarves, all cheap and they've lasted years too ;)

Honestly? Neither.

If I had to pick one, I'd pick the Burberry one as it is the most versatile and it looks the warmest.

Neither. Not because of looks but because of the price tag.

I have a scarf that looks just like the burbury one. I bought it in Italy - its cashmere, it doesn't pill and I've have it for well over 5 years now... it cost me 40€ - which IMO is in itself expensive for a scarf.

NO way on earth would I spend that I spent that on almost all the baby things I bought for the newborn and I went with cloth diapers and they arent cheap.

If I HADDD to though it would be the first one.

I would go for the first one.. it's classic and burberry lasts FOREVER usually.

but honestly, burberry isn't known for their scarves really and I'm not sure how the quality is. Honestly, I would go for a trench lol

I think they're both very nice. The gray one is absolutely gorgeous imo...very stylish and chic. But $750!!! Holy cow. I wouldn't spend anywhere near that on a scarf. But I do spend it on landscaping. LOL. So, it just depends on individual preferences. I guess too, that it depends on what you're looking for. If you want warmth, go for wool. I personally prefer a plaid that's not as boxy...smaller squares and things. But it is still quite pretty.

Neither is my style at all.

I'd be more likely to wear the grey one, but because of the price tag, I'd never even come near either of them.

I could get an entire winter wardrobe for $750, lol.

Everyone has different budgets and different things they splurge on.

I'd go with the first one. It's Burberry--classic, perfect for going to the office. The second one doesn't look any different from the 10 Euro pashminas I bought in Greece (which I LOVE by the way...I am now sold on them).

So true. I can't believe how over budget I'm going on this landscaping project I've been at all summer. But clothes? Meh...not one of my big interests...although... I have been known to go on splurges once in a while.:p Funny...This just gave me an idea for another thread.

IF I were going to buy one or the other I'd go with the second one, no reservations. I loathe trademark patterns or other overt labels, and that is a beautiful gray neutral that would go with everything.

But I never, ever wear scarves -- or have that kind of money to invest in something like that, so it's purely hypothetical :) Heck, I only paid $700 for my beat up little BMW ;)

This. We will not speak of the amount of money I spent at the last last dog show I went to....or the Hoosier Horse Fair-yikes....or the Coach store.....

I do like both of them, but would pick the first one over the second. It's more classic and versatile. I do really like the second one though.

Looks wise I like the first one more.

But honestly there better be hidden gold sewn into a scarf before I spend that much on one o_O.

Around 5 years ago I spent upwards of 4500 on a shawl/wrap.... Financial situations are different this time around; but all I can say is...I'm abit of a fashion victim and it was and still is a fabulous wrap - it didn't have gold in it Yoko, but it was trimmed with crystals and pearls lol.

Thanks everyone! Still quite torn... Oh well, there's still time - and alot of fall merchandise has yet to arrive at the local shop that carries this stuff.
