Anyone have Hurtta stuff?

Some of it's kinda pricey, but it looks pretty nice.

I'm still looking for a good active harness that can get wet, muddy, and not worry about it. The Y-harness by Hurtta looks like it'd do the job and fit well.

In the future, I may wanna check out some of their coats too, but don't have the money yet.

Anyone have Hurtta stuff??! :D

Their stuff looks awesome!!!... but am I the only one not seeing prices?

I really like the classic leather collar. So many leather collar makers are seemingly obsessed with conchos and rivets and bedazzles.. what happened to the classic collar?!

**** you! NOW I REALLY WANT IT! LOL

Oooo. I like the style of their leather chokes. If only I knew leather would hold Zander...

I'm not seeing any prices either, though. And not the harness you're looking at?

I have a hurtta nylon harness, I live it but I'm using it today at dock dogs and I am noticing a lot stretching when wet. Might be something to be aware of.

Well, it's just their site with their products, rather than a site to buy them, that's probably why you don't see prices. Price depends on where you're buying it. (I assume she's seen them elsewhere and the prices there) :)

LOL!! I do love a cool concho, but I'm not a big bedazzler. I prefer a bit more plain design personally.

But yeah I totally saw their stuff, and fell in love too. Then I wished I were rich and could buy it all. I looooveee some of their winter coats. May have to splurge this winter.

I'm looking at something more practical and sporty for him, vs. stylish (for coats this winter) but gawd he does look super cute in his furry hoodies! :p

But yeah the harness is because I need a good happy medium. We have a leather Buddy Belt and it's very nice, well made, strong, I doubt he could escape it. But it's really not practical. It's too nice for it to get fully wet, and it doesn't seem like it'd be comfortable if he has to have it on all day, etc. I spent nearly $70 on it, I think, so I don't want to ruin it, ya know? And his Puppia is nice but seems like it's a bit too hot for him in the summer hot weather.

Of course initially I was looking for a harness to match his tan leather collar but I've given up... I can find NO harness that will match that kind of tan haha. so whatever, black will just have to do.

I have their cooling coat for Zuma and love it so far! Keeps her nice and cool and looks snazzy too. I bought it off of Amazon.

We have a product sponsorship from Hurtta for the dock diving dogs. We have their cooling coats, Y harness, several jackets/coats, a life vest, a reflective vest, etc. So far I really like all of our stuff *but* the sizing is funky. Half the stuff only fits Snipe - it seems to run small. :p

I have a Hurtta walking belt as well, thanks to a friend studying in the UK, and I *love* it - perfect for what I need on short walks/hikes!

I also just bought three pairs of the undies for intact girls and the sizing was alll over the place - they measured into a size 2 or 3 but the breed charts showed them as a 4 or 5, so I bought a 3 and two 4s.

Right now the offerings from Hurtta North America are fairly limited, but Euro Dog Designs does order direct from Hurtta Finland every few months - that's the only way for me to get the undies.

Oh I do agree their sizing is funky too. I got the harness for Sloan but her deep chest made it fit a bit too oddly so I gave it to backup. I have a friend with an am bull who tried 3 or more times returning and reordering and finally gave up when not properly fit her dog.

Like I said, I love it but those are the flaws. It goes on super easy, is strong, and looks good. :)

I'd like to try their lifevests for Shamoo next time.

So far the life vests are a fav for me - they are way more flexible than others I've checked out and they are really sturdy. I carried Snipe around by hers at a club practice and the last dock dog event. LOL She makes a cute 30lb purse dog. ;)

I'm kinda worried about sizing now...

I wanna get Jackson this one:
http://www.eurodogdesigns.com/Hurtta-Padded-Y-harness--Black_p_111.html

But his girth is about 18.5" ... and the size options I have are 16-18" and 20-24"... so he's pretty much in between, but I really highly doubt he'd fit into a 20-24", but since you say they run small... Ahhh not sure.
Goose was between sizes and I went with the larger one, it fit perfectly

ETA: she has a cooling coat, not a harness

Thanks!

I actually emailed eurodog and they said they can order the color I want (red) in the pro y-harness. This version in red: http://www.hurttacollection.com/en/pro-en/products/harnesses/padded-y-harness/ but they aren't placing an order until mid-September.

Sooo I just decided to randomly order the ComfortFlex Sport Harness. I got it on amazon for free shipping for $30. We'll see how I like it. It seems perfect for our needs, and we're also hopefully starting agility again in the fall, so it will be nice for that.

I'd like to try out the hurtta too but didn't want to wait until almost October to get it... haha. So I'll just wait and use comfortflex in the mean time, hopefully.
